These plans/specifications will be approved by the Technology teams.\nDesign and implement software for embedded devices and systems for industry-specific hardware from requirements to production deployment. \nDesigning firmware solutions based on company or project needs.\nDesigning detailed firmware plans.\nReview low-level code and design.\nInterface with hardware design and development.\nDevelop functional test programs and Fixtures to meet the test specifications and test coverage requirements. These test programs and fixtures will meet production capacity and throughput requirements and must meet local Safety and Health requirements.\nGenerate documentation sets for Fixtures that cover all manufacturing and maintenance requirements, BOM, and drawings, including defined maintenance frequency and coverage.\nDocument all test programs in the defined methodology and maintain change records of program modifications. These should be tied to the date of implementation and manufacturing work orders.\nDevelop test strategies to complement new products and test equipment technologies, review current product test processes, ensure all current tests have adequate specifications, and recommend improvements where necessary.\nEnsuring that the firmware is always functional and up-to-date.\nProviding technical support and training to the test development team and test sustaining team.\nWho You Are:\nYou analyze complex technical challenges, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions through a structured and systematic approach. You communicate clearly and effectively, tailoring technical information to diverse audiences and stakeholders.\nFor This Role, You Will Need:\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related Engineering field.\n\nMinimum 3-5 years of experience in Test Development, Manufacturing Test Engineering, Product Validation, or related engineering disciplines.\n\nStrong programming knowledge in C/C++, VB/VC++, Delphi, LabVIEW, or equivalent development tools.\n\nExperience in developing and supporting automated test systems, functional test programs, and test fixtures for electronic products.\n\nKnowledge of embedded systems, embedded Linux, firmware development, and microcontroller-based hardware platforms.\n\nFamiliarity with hardware interfaces, communication protocols, and system-level debugging techniques.\n\nExperience with software configuration management, defect tracking, and engineering documentation practices.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and manufacturing test issues.\n\nGood communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and global environment.\n\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced manufacturing and product development environment.\n\nPreferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:\nExperience in developing automated test systems, test fixtures, and production test solutions in a high-volume manufacturing environment.\n\nHands-on experience with embedded Linux, firmware development, and hardware/software integration for embedded products.\n\nProven ability to define, document, and deploy test strategies, functional test specifications, and validation methodologies for new products.\n\nExperience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI), product transfers, and manufacturing readiness activities.\n\nKnowledge of software configuration management, version control, and defect tracking tools.\n\nExperience working with cross-functional global teams, contract manufacturers, and external suppliers.\n\nDemonstrated success in driving test automation, continuous improvement, and manufacturing productivity initiatives.\n\nStrong technical leadership, coaching, and knowledge-sharing capabilities.\n\nFluent in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively in a global organization.\n\nOur Culture & Commitment to You\nAt Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
