This role is responsible for the motivation, training, and leadership of the production and warehouse teams as well as the operational plans to meet and exceed customer requirements, while maximizing quality, proficiencies, throughput, and productivity of the location - requiring substantial time on the shop floor.\nIN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:\nManage and synchronize employee productivity and accuracy across production, machine-shop, paint-shop, warehouse, shipping, receiving, plant-wide inventory functions in collaboration with other departments to ensure achievement of overall business objectives.\nControl and support production operations by developing production plans, scheduling and assigning personnel, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules as needed, resolving issues, and reporting production results.\nDevelop and continuously improve systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, control processes, budgetary requirements, and personnel needs while implementing process improvements and leading Continuous Improvement initiatives and ISO standards.\nCoordinate daily freight carrier scheduling and export documentation while managing back orders, waves, OSP, receiving, RMA, picking, and product receipts, and serving as a liaison with Customer Service regarding order tracking, changes, and expediting.\nLead and support warehouse operations by scheduling and assigning personnel, establishing priorities, monitoring workflow, revising schedules, resolving operational issues, and ensuring work is completed accurately and efficiently.\nManage shipping and receiving activities, including short and over shipments and quality issues related to intercompany shipments, while coordinating with the appropriate personnel to identify and resolve issues.\nOrganize departmental workflow and expedite orders to ensure timely delivery of products to the end user or customer while monitoring cycle counts and ensuring appropriate inventory adjustments and approvals.\nCollaborate with Purchasing, Production, Warehouse, Customer Service, and other functions to coordinate material flow, resolve operational constraints, and support the timely execution of business and customer requirements.\nDevelop strategies to identify process and cost-reduction opportunities, evaluate business risks, and implement strategically sound solutions to improve operational performance and achieve KPIs across all areas of responsibility.\nEnsure shop-floor Health & Safety compliance by maintaining a safe and clean work environment and educating and directing personnel on the proper use of equipment, control points, and resources in accordance with established policies and procedures. \nWHO YOU ARE: You set objectives to align with broader organizational goals, breaking them down into appropriate initiatives and actions; stage activities with relevant milestones and schedules, and anticipate and adjust effective contingency plans. And you work cooperatively with others across the organization and gain the trust and support of others.\nFOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:\n6+ years of recent management experience with direct responsibility for both production operations and warehouse management within a Lean Manufacturing environment. Candidates must demonstrate substantial, hands-on leadership experience in both areas.\nRelevant post-secondary certificate, diploma or degree from an accredited college or university. \nOracle ERP systems experience is required (Procurement, Materials Management, etc.)\nOrganizational skills are required to plan, set priorities, and schedule \nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nProven ability to interact positively with co-workers and management\nExcellent presentation skills and the ability to teach new methods to others\nPractices excellent housekeeping throughout the facility in alignment with 5S+1\nHas problem solving skills, strong initiative and the ability to apply them effectively in the workplace\nGood knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act is essential to support our 12 Safety Behaviors philosophy\nAbility to conceptualize new ideas to improve current processes, supports and creates an environment of continuous improvement and efficiency\nDemonstrable knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)\nAuthorized to work in Canada without sponsorship now and in the future\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:\nCertified Supply Chain Professional certified (CSCP)\nPrevious experience in an electrical environment is an asset\nOur Culture & Commitment to You\nOur compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process.
