This role is highly interactive with the other departments within Emerus. The PM is responsible for managing two categories of projects: Hospital Openings and Enterprise.\nHospital Openings: The PM plays an integral part in the opening of our hospitals. It is this person’s role to coordinate and facilitate all facets in preparation of opening the hospitals to the public. This involves managing the projects from the time the initial agreements are in place through the time the hospital starts seeing patients. These are very cross-functional projects where the PM works with the various departments throughout Emerus and our partners to ensure building and departmental readiness, training, equipment planning, move-in, stocking, deliveries, etc are in place for opening.\nEnterprise: The PM works with the various departments throughout Emerus to assist in the successful completion of Enterprise-wide projects, including Finance, Marketing, Nursing, etc.\nEssential Job Functions\nDevelop, track, communicate project schedules for assigned projects\nBe the point of contact and coordinate all departments that must come together throughout the projects; depending upon the project, this could include Management, Construction, Staffing, HR, IT, Supply Chain, Licensing, Lab, Radiology, Pharmacy, Quality, Marketing, Compliance, Physician Staffing, Credentialing, Policies & Procedures, Forms, etc\nManage resources with peers and functional managers\nIdentify and manage project risks and issues\nEnsure that all required contracts are in place\nReport on project budgets\nProvide frequent project status to management and project teams, including reporting and meetings\nMake informed and effective decisions when presented with multiple options on how to progress with the project\nAbility to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities with minimal oversite\nCreate long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines\nDevelop and manage Activation and Operations Readiness plans for new hospital openings\nLead end-to-end project management for new hospital openings from initial agreements through operational launch \nDevelop and execute readiness plans including Activation/move-in and operational startup \nPartner with JV stakeholders and leadership to ensure scope, timeline alignment\nCore Responsibilities - Enterprise Initiatives\nLead enterprise-wide projects including clinical programs, operational improvements, and capital/equipment upgrades \nPartner across Finance, Nursing, Marketing, IT, and Compliance \nTranslate strategic priorities into actionable plans with measurable outcomes \nSupport initiatives to enhance system performance and scalability \nProject Execution & Leadership\nDevelop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets \nServe as primary coordinator across all stakeholders \nIdentify and mitigate project risks \nProvide consistent status updates to leadership \nFacilitate structured meetings and decision-making \nCapture lessons learned for continuous improvement \nStakeholder Engagement\nAct as liaison between internal teams, JV partners, and executive leadership \nBuild strong relationships and drive alignment \nCommunicate clearly and concisely to diverse audiences \nManage competing priorities in high-visibility environments \nKey Competencies\nCritical thinking and problem-solving \nStrong communication skills \nStakeholder management experience with senior leaders and partners \nAdaptability and ability to manage multiple priorities \nOwnership and accountability \nTechnical Skills\nProficiency in Microsoft Office and MS Project \nExperience with Smartsheet preferred \nWork Environment & Travel\nApproximately 25% travel required \nAbility to work extended hours when needed \nOther Job Functions\nParticipate in review of blueprints for new hospital opening projects regarding layout and electrical placement, clinical requirements for the building, etc\nWork with regional CEO, CNO and functional and clinical departments to perform audits before hospital openings to validate hospital is ready to see patients\nCoordinate development of punch list of items for Construction to be corrected in the new hospital prior to opening; work with the team to prioritize and track completion\nWork with Supply Chain to confirm supplies are delivered to new hospitals before opening, as required\nTravel to all hospital locations as required; be on-site at hospitals at pivotal times during process including Operations walk-throughs, Turnover, Move-in, etc\nAttend staff meetings or other company sponsored or mandated meetings as required\nCollect lessons learned and track completion in future projects\nTake initiative to keep abreast of developments in Project Management and pursue continuous education\nFill in for the supervisor when requested\nPerform additional duties as assigned\nAbility to work off-hours and on call when required \nBasic Qualifications\n4+ years experience as a project manager in healthcare, strongly preferred\nBachelor’s Degree or higher required\nPMP required\nClinical licensure or relevant clinical credential required (e.g. RN, LVN, ARRT, RRT/CRT, CPhT, etc.)\nPMP required\nDemonstrated ability to successfully lead teams on complex project completion\nOrganizational skills with the ability to identify and manage priorities\nStrong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills\nAddresses challenges effectively even in uncharted territory\nSelf driven, capable of making informed decisions with minimal guidance\nAchieves objectives without the need for rigid guidelines\nCommunicates well both verbally and in written form\nAble to maintain clear and concise documentation\nDemonstrated ability to hold successful meetings\nBalances driving details and keeping an eye on completion of the end goal \nTakes initiative\nShows an interest in learning new things \nFollows through on commitments and expects the same of others\nProficient in MS Office, including MS Project\nWorking knowledge of Smartsheet a plus\nStrong spatial skills preferred\nA strong customer service focus required\nFamiliarity with DNV Interpretive Guidelines, CMS CoP, ISO and NIAHO or other regulatory standards and accreditation organizations is advantageous\nFluent in English;
