The Bridge Foreman is responsible for supervising daily field operations, coordinating manpower and equipment, maintaining safety and quality standards, and ensuring work is completed on schedule. This position requires strong leadership skills and extensive hands-on experience with bridge construction activities including concrete structures, formwork, falsework, pile driving, reinforcing steel, and structural concrete placement.\nThe successful candidate will work closely with Superintendents, Project Managers, Engineers, subcontractors, and inspectors to safely deliver high-quality bridge and structure projects.\nResponsibilities\nLead and supervise bridge crews in daily construction activities.\nPlan, schedule, and assign work to crew members to maximize productivity and efficiency.\nEnsure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company, client, OSHA, and DOT safety requirements.\nRead and interpret construction plans, specifications, shop drawings, and grade information.\nCoordinate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to meet project schedules.\nConduct daily safety meetings and maintain a strong safety culture on the jobsite.\nMonitor workmanship to ensure all work meets project specifications and quality standards.\nCommunicate regularly with Superintendents, Project Managers, Engineers, and inspectors regarding project progress and potential issues.\nAssist with planning concrete pours, structural steel activities, and other critical operations.\nTrack production, manpower utilization, and equipment needs.\nIdentify and resolve field issues to minimize delays and maintain project schedules.\nTrain, mentor, and develop crew members.\nMaintain accurate daily reports and documentation.\nOther duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nHigh School Diploma or GED required.\nMinimum of 5 years of bridge construction experience, including supervisory or foreman-level responsibilities.\nStrong background in heavy civil construction and transportation infrastructure projects.\nExperience with bridge structures, reinforced concrete, formwork systems, and structural construction.\nAbility to read and interpret plans, specifications, and project schedules.\nKnowledge of OSHA safety requirements and bridge construction best practices.\nProven ability to lead crews and coordinate multiple activities simultaneously.\nStrong communication and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced construction environment and adapt to changing project conditions.\nValid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.\nOSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred.\nExperience with DOT, state highway, or municipal projects is preferred.\nPreferred Experience\nBridge deck rehabilitation and replacement.\nPile driving operations.\nStructural concrete placement and finishing.\nReinforcing steel installation.\nCrane picks and rigging operations.\nStructural steel erection.\nCast-in-place and precast bridge components.\nWork on highway and interstate bridge projects.\nEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities\nThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
