When workload demands, the Data Prep Manager also prepares files directly to keep projects on schedule.\nThe Data Prep Manager develops and maintains company-wide Data Prep standards and workflow procedures, and trains and mentors Data Prep Technicians to apply them consistently. The role assigns and balances workload across team members and branches, reviews files for quality, accuracy, and compliance with standards before release, and coordinates Data Prep needs among branch offices, project teams, and field operations.\n\nMust Have:\nUnderstanding of civil engineering concepts, practices, and procedures\nExperience with 3D model building in Trimble Business Center and Pipe Networks in Civil 3D. Data Center experience is preferred.\nAt least three years of construction industry experience required\nCollege or Technical Degree in Drafting, Surveying, or construction related field\nThis is a full-time, office based position located in Springdale, Arkansas.\nDuties/Responsibilities:\nGeneral duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:\nSupervise office staff at multiple ESS Branch Offices\nPrepare and oversee the preparation of Data Prep files\nMonitor performance of Data Prep Technicians to ensure quality files on time and within budget\nEstablish and maintain Data Prep procedures and quality control measures to ensure efficient and productive performance and accurate data files for the field\nResponsible for morale, efficiency, and individual member performance for team members\nPrepare project estimates for Data Prep services\nPerforms other related duties as assigned.\nRequired Skills & Abilities:\nMust have experience using Trimble Business Center and Civil CD\nUnderstanding of civil engineering concepts, practices, and procedures\nAbility to read and interpret engineering plans and documents\nAbility to understand drafting standards, and design documentation\nExperience examining and checking engineering drawings for compliance with cited specifications\nWorking knowledge of Data Prep procedures and applications\nAbility to interpret the design engineer’s intent from the various project documents to digitally produce accurate and working 3d surface models as well as the preparation of improvement data for construction layout\nProficient in the use of Trimble Business Center, Autodesk Civil 3d, and Navisworks \nExperience with 3D model building in Trimble Business Center and Pipe Networks in Civil 3D. Data Center experience is required.\nAbility to quickly process information and make decisions\nAbility to take initiative and prioritize tasks: organizational, problem-prevention and problem-solving skills\n Strong technical aptitude and knowledge of basic computer technology\nStrong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks fast paced environment\nDependable and able to work independently with little supervision as well as with a team of individuals\nStrong math and analytical skills\nMust be 18 years of age or older\nMust have reliable transportation with the ability to travel\nMust have the ability to work extended hours as required by the workload\nMust have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record\nEducation & Experience:\nCollege or Technical Degree in Drafting, Surveying, or construction related field\nFamiliarity with the surveying and construction industry, willing to train the right candidate who meets our company culture\nAt least three years of construction industry experience required\nPhysical Demands & Work Environment:\nProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.\nMust be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.\nThis is a full-time position which will typically involve 50+ hours a week. Due to the nature of the job, the employee must be available on-call early/late hours to deal with delays, bad weather and emergencies at the job site.
