This position is responsible for safely and efficiently operating concrete paving equipment on roadway, highway, and infrastructure projects throughout Central Missouri. Projects are typically located within a two-hour radius of Columbia, allowing employees to work close to home while contributing to high-quality construction projects.\nAs a key member of the paving crew, the Concrete Paver Operator will work closely with supervisors, grade crews, laborers, mechanics, and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to company quality standards.\nEssential Responsibilities:\nMonitor paving operations to ensure proper grade, alignment, thickness, and overall quality of finished concrete surfaces.\nPerform daily equipment inspections and complete basic preventative maintenance and minor repairs.\nWork closely with crew members and supervisors to coordinate paving activities and maintain production goals.\nRead and follow project plans, grade stakes, and layout specifications.\nEnsure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations.\nIdentify equipment, material, or production issues and communicate solutions proactively.\nAssist with mobilization, setup, and cleanup of paving operations.\nMaintain a clean and organized work area.\nTrain and mentor less experienced operators and crew members.\nSupport other construction operations as needed.\nPerform additional duties as assigned.\nQualifications\n Minimum of 3 years of experience operating concrete paving equipment on roadway, highway, airport, or large-scale concrete projects.\nExperience operating slipform concrete pavers preferred.\nStrong understanding of concrete paving methods, grades, elevations, and paving tolerances.\nAbility to troubleshoot equipment and perform basic maintenance tasks.\nKnowledge of construction safety practices and procedures.\nAbility to work effectively in a team environment and communicate professionally with coworkers and supervisors.\nValid driver's license required; CDL is a plus.\nGPS machine control experience is preferred but not required.\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.\nAbility to stand, walk, climb, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.\nAbility to work extended hours, including occasional weekends, as project schedules require.\nWhy Join Us?\nCompetitive pay based on experience.\nEmployee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).\nComprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits.\n401(k) with company match.\nPaid time off and paid holidays.\nOpportunities for career advancement and professional development.\nWork on impactful infrastructure projects throughout Central Missouri while staying close to home.\nJoin our team and help build the roads and infrastructure that connect our communities.\nEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities\nThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
