As an intern, you will work alongside experienced job cost and finance professionals, learn valuable accounting and construction-finance skills, and contribute to the financial success of our projects.\nKey Responsibilities:\nAssist with the job cost accounting process for active projects, helping ensure timely and accurate reporting of job costs\nSupport project managers and finance staff in gathering and organizing job cost data\nHelp monitor job cost data and assist in identifying trends or discrepancies: such as labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractor costs.\nAssist in preparing job cost reports and basic metrics for internal stakeholders\nSupport the team in preparing data for project bids and proposals\nHelp with routine audits of job cost entries to check for accuracy and compliance\nLearn and apply best practices in job cost accounting and construction finance\nMaintain organized, accurate records and files\nOther duties as assigned\nQualifications:\nCurrently enrolled in a technical school, college, or university program (accounting, finance, construction management, or related field preferred)\nStrong attention to detail and organizational skills\nStrong work ethic and willingness to learn\nAbility to follow instructions and work as part of a team\nBasic familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Viewpoint, QuickBooks, or Xero) is a plus but not required\nMicrosoft Excel proficiency preferred\nGood communication skills, with the ability to interact with a variety of audiences\nPunctuality and reliability are essential\nDuration:\nTypically, May-August\nCompensation:\nCompetitive hourly wage commensurate with experience and qualifications\nOpportunity for skill development and advancement within the company\nEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities\nThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
