This position is responsible for operating a front-end loader to move, stockpile, and load aggregate materials while supporting daily concrete production.\nThe ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy equipment, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to travel between the MCI Airport and Lawrence plant locations as operational needs require.\nLocation & Travel\nPrimary work locations are: MCI Airport Concrete Plant (Kansas City, MO) Lawrence Concrete Plant (Lawrence, KS)\nThis position regularly works between both plant locations.\nReliable transportation is required.\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities\nSafely operate a front-end loader in a concrete plant environment.\nMaintain aggregate stockpiles and load material into bins, hoppers, and trucks.\nPerform pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections.\nReport maintenance and repair needs promptly.\nAssist with plant operations, housekeeping, and material management.\nFollow all company safety policies and procedures.\nCommunicate effectively with plant personnel and truck drivers.\nSupport production needs at both the MCI Airport and Lawrence concrete plants.\n\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in heavy equipment operation preferred\n2+ years of experience operating heavy equipment, with experience in a construction setting preferred\nAbility to read and interpret construction plans and specifications\nStrong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences\nStrong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze project data and identify trends and opportunities for improvement\nExperience with government contracts and compliance is a plus\nEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities\nThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
