This position is responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing company vehicles, landscape equipment, and construction equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.\nWorking under the direction of the Fleet Manager, the Mechanic will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, complete repairs, and help maintain EMI's fleet according to company standards and safety procedures.\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform preventative maintenance on company vehicles, trucks, trailers, and equipment.\nDiagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and engine-related issues.\nComplete fluid changes, filter replacements, tune-ups, brake repairs, suspension work, and welding repairs.\nInspect equipment and identify maintenance needs before failures occur.\nMaintain accurate repair and maintenance records.\nSafely operate company vehicles and equipment.\nAssist with minor facility and building maintenance as needed.\nFollow all EMI safety policies and operating procedures.\nSupport field operations during peak seasons and emergency situations.\nWork extended hours, weekends, and during inclement weather when required.\nQualifications\nRequired\nValid Driver's License.\nExperience repairing and maintaining vehicles, trailers, and landscape equipment.\nKnowledge of diesel and gasoline engines.\nAbility to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems.\nFamiliarity with hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.\nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.\nStrong communication and organizational skills.\nPreferred\nExperience with landscaping or construction equipment.\nWelding experience.\nKnowledge of hydraulic systems.\nExperience with vehicle diagnostic software and systems (OBDII, Kohler, or similar).\nCDL is a plus.\nPhysical Requirements\nFrequently lift and move up to 50 pounds.\nStand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and work in various weather conditions.\nPerform
