eMoney is looking for an experienced and seasoned Senior Events Strategist for a 3-month contract position with the potential to extend as needed. The Senior Events Strategist will be highly organized, creative, detail oriented, results oriented, and exhibit strong communication skills. This role is responsible for leading the planning and execution of events that bring our brand to life and strengthen relationships with clients, partners, and prospects. You will be a key contributor to eMoney’s strategic event objectives and shape event experiences that deepen client engagement, drive demand, build brand awareness, identify thought leadership opportunities, and reinforce our position as a leader in financial planning technology.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Events team to develop overarching event strategies, determine objectives for each event, and ensure they align with business goals.
- Support the Events team in the execution of eMoney’s Annual Summit (1000+ virtual attendees); securing sponsorships, overseeing the eMoney team schedule and coordination; vendor follow up; coordination of speaker deliverables, virtual platform coordination and logistics; etc.
- Assist with the project management of the eMoney Summit and associated communications before, during, and after Summit to prepare internal and external staff for a successful event and ensure all stakeholders have a clear understanding of expectations.
- Assist with registration, fielding questions from attendees and internal stakeholders and helping ensure all users can maximize their Summit experience.
- Staff Summit virtual sessions, assist presenters “backstage” and support and oversee Q&A during live sessions.
- Provide support to team in generating and distributing reporting on all sessions post-Summit
- Produce detailed proposals for eMoney-hosted and sponsored events, including how the event will drive demand and build awareness, timelines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing and budgets, and content suggestions for speakers.
- Book venues and negotiate fees, coordinating venue management, caterers, contractors and other vendors needed to execute the event.
- Responsible for event themes and concepts, the creative development process, and ensuring they align with brand messaging.
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, Financial Planning Group, and Client Services to appropriately staff events, and coordinate the development of speaker deliverables, promotional items, company branding/signage and booths.
- Host and lead meetings to prepare event staff and ensure clear understanding of expectations and responsibilities (e.g. presentations, lead goals, etc.) prior to each event, including building the strategic game plans and holding required prep and debrief sessions for each event.
- Lead event planning by partnering with Demand Gen, Corp Comms, Creative, Content, and Product Marketing to develop and curate all resource needs for each event including but not limited to invitations, landing pages, collateral, speaker bios, press kits, talking points, loops, and presentations.
- Deliver detailed pre-event and post-event briefings to stakeholders.
- Partner with Marketing Operations team to coordinate tracking and analysis reports on all leads and meetings booked generated at events and track ROI to guide future improvements.
- Coordinate and manage event staff and vendors, handling attendee queries and troubleshooting on the day of the event.
- May be asked to travel occasionally to attend industry events and identify whitespace, network with vendors, and support Sales in driving demand.
- Strategically handle due diligence and research on events in and outside of industry to support pursuing new markets and identifying whitespace for the event channel followed by a proposal to stakeholders.
- Understand our industry and eMoney’s position within it.
- Maintain an understanding our financial advisor clients, the challenges they face, and the value eMoney’s technology solutions bring to their businesses.
- May assist less experienced team members.
Requirements
- Associate’s or a Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, business management, or related field preferred.
- At least 6 years of experience executing high-quality large and small-scale corporate events in direct support of organizational goals and objectives.
- Experience forecasting costs accurately, negotiating rates, and setting and adhering to strict budgets.
- Financial Services Industry experience preferred
- Experience with vendor management, handling sponsorships at 3rd party conferences, and managing inventories.
- Experience creating and managing budgets

The range for this position is $82,000-$105,000 salary; commensurate compensation to be determined based on skills, professional background and expertise.
