To be defined as advanced and time intensive, 75% or more of the employee's time must be spent completing cases performed in an ambulatory surgery center or inpatient setting, coordination of multiple specialties, coordination of pre-operation and post-operation testing/clearance. May coordinate complex, sequential treatment appointments including clinical trials and standard of care patients. Coordinate transplant related work-up and evaluations for donors and patients Serves as the primary point of care for these patients and their families.\nAdditional duties may include:\nScheduling return visits \nScheduling ancillary appointments \nRegistering or scheduling new patients \nScheduling imaging and procedures within their local clinic \nCompleting patient data forms \nCoordinating provider referrals \nRetrieving medical records \nActs as an administrative resource for all staff in the coordination of a patient's care. \nWorks collaboratively with management to remedy or escalate patient complaints. \nCovers for front desk and other back-office staff as needed. \nProvides support for the training of new PCCs and other administrative staff as needed. \nCompletes precertification authorizations as required. \nOther duties as assigned.\nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:\nHigh school diploma or GED required; \n6 months of healthcare scheduling experience is required. \nA successful candidate will possess the following competencies and skills:Problem-solving ability; \nAbility to provide a high level of customer service; \nExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written; \nAbility to work in a team environment; \nTime management skills; \nEmpathy for others.\n\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: (Medium): 20-50 lbs; 0-33% of the work day (occasionally); 11-25 lbs, 34-66% of the workday (frequently); 01-10 lbs, 67-100% of the workday (constantly); Lifting 50 lbs max; Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs; Occasional to frequent standing & walking, Occasional sitting, Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing), Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.
