Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.\nRole Overview:\nWe're looking for an Chief Technical Officer who leads people and writes code.\nThis is not a pure management role. You'll manage a small backend team while staying hands-on technically. Reviewing PRs, contributing to architecture decisions, and shipping code. We need someone who can do both well without losing the thread on either.\nYou'll work closely with founders and report directly to the CEO. If you're a senior engineer who's started leading people and wants more of that, or an EM who still codes and doesn't want to give that up, this is for you.\nResponsibilities:\nManage a small team of backend engineers: 1:1s, growth conversations, unblocking work, setting standards\n\nStay technically active: contribute to architecture, review code, and ship code\n\nPartner with product and design to scope and prioritize backend work\n\nHelp build a culture where engineers do their best work and take real ownership\n\nDrive technical decisions on distributed systems, broker integrations, and platform scalability\n\nHire and grow the team as we scale\n\nQualifications:\n6+ years of backend engineering experience, with at least 1-2 years managing engineers\n\nStill writes and reviews code regularly, not just directs\n\nStrong TypeScript or similar backend language;
