You will develop and validate guidance solutions that are tested in real-world conditions together with Ukrainian interceptor manufacturers, working in a small, highly technical team of a U.S. defense technology company building compact radar systems for autonomous air defense. This is a full-time, on-site role in Kyiv.Your responsibilities will include:\nDevelop and validate terminal guidance system components and supporting software for autonomous aerial platforms.\nBuild mathematical models, run simulations, and analyze system behavior under real-world conditions.\nImplement engineering software and integrate it with embedded and other system components.\nAnalyze simulation and field test results, investigate discrepancies, and drive improvements.\nCollaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams on system integration and verification.\nMaintain technical documentation, test reports, and engineering specifications.\nContribute to continuous improvement of system architecture, software quality, and validation processes.\nTake part in occasional business trips within Ukraine for integration and testing.\nWhat we expect from you:English level B2 or higher for effective technical communication.\nHands-on experience in GNC, autonomous systems, control engineering, flight dynamics, or a closely related field.\nStrong foundation in control theory and dynamic modeling.\nExperience with simulation and analysis of complex system behavior.\nExperience with software testing, system integration, and technical documentation.\nAbility to translate complex technical requirements into robust, testable engineering solutions.\nStrong problem-solving skills and a systematic approach to engineering challenges.\nAbility to collaborate effectively across engineering disciplines.\n Nice to Have:Experience developing terminal guidance or other autonomous navigation system components.\nBackground in aerospace, robotics, UAVs, or real-time autonomous systems.\nExperience with sensor integration, state estimation, and system identification.\nFamiliarity with embedded software and hardware-software integration.\nExperience with software-in-the-loop (SIL) or hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing.\nKnowledge of verification, validation, and reliability
