Empower Yourself.\nThe Engineer Automation Quality works more independently, designing, developing, and maintaining moderately complex automated test scripts to validate the functionality of software applications. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure effective execution of our quality assurance strategies.\nEssential Functions:\nDesign and development of moderately complex automated test scripts.\n\nExecute moderately complex automated test cases and report results.\n\nIdentify, document and track independently, software defects to resolution using defect tracking tools like JIRA.\n\nProvide strong documentation for test cases, test results, and defects that are clear and concise.\n\nCollaborate with the software engineering team to gain a strong understanding of application functionality and testing requirements.\n\nMaintain and update moderately complex, existing automated test scripts. Ensure that automated tests are up-to-date with the latest application changes and enhancements.\n\nFollow and make recommendations regarding automation best practices.\n\nProvide guidance to associate automation quality engineers, helping them improve their skills and gain a better understanding of automation.\n\nMay be required to do manual testing when needed.\n\n Qualifications:\n2-4 yearsoverall testing experience with 1-2 years automation testing experience or equivalent automation training\n\nProficiency in Java programming language (Core concepts) required\n\nStrong understanding of and experience with requirement analysis is required\n\nStrong experience with automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Karate, JUnit, TestNG) along with debugging skills is a must.\n\nExperience in using version control systems (e.g., Git) required.\n\nKnowledge of BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber) required.\n\nFamiliarity with SQL and database testing required.\n\nExperience in UI/API functional testing required.\n\nExperience in using JIRA, ZE management tools required.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong ability to analyze test results and identify issues required.\n\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred\n\nGood in design and estimation techniques desired.\n\nStrong communication and teamwork skills preferred.\n\nGood knowledge of continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins) a plus.\n\nWillingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies desired.\n\nNormal office working conditions: This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.\nThis job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities and qualifications of the job.The employer has the right to revise this job description at any time.You will be evaluated in part based on your performance of the responsibilities and/or tasks listed in this job description.You may be required perform other duties that are not included on this job description.The job description is not a contract for employment, and either you or the employer may terminate employment at any time, for any reason\nWe are an equal opportunity employer with a commitment to diversity.
