This role will lead the development of microservices and real-time streaming applications, guide engineering teams, influence technical direction, and promote strong engineering practices across system design, testing, DevOps, and CI/CD.\nWhat you will do:\nLead the design and development of microservices-based architectures using Spring and Spring Boot.\n\nArchitect and build real-time streaming applications using Apache Kafka.\n\nDefine technical strategy and oversee the full software development lifecycle, from requirements through deployment.\n\nMentor and guide engineers, conducting design and code reviews to maintain high standards.\n\nChampion TDD and BDD practices to support code quality and maintainability.\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable software.\n\nDrive adoption of best practices in system design, testing, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.\n\nOptimize application performance and resolve complex technical issues.\n\nEnsure systems are designed for high availability, scalability, and maintainability.\n\nContribute to architectural decisions and align technical initiatives with business goals.\n\nUse AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar tools in day-to-day development activities.\n\nWhat you will bring:\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.\n\n7+ years of professional software development experience, including 2+ years in a lead or mentorship role.\n\nStrong expertise in Java 17 or later.\n\nSolid hands-on experience with Spring, Spring Boot, and RESTful web services.\n\nDeep understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.\n\nProven experience building real-time streaming applications with Apache Kafka.\n\nStrong experience with SQL databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra.\n\nProficiency in Hibernate, JPA, and ORM concepts.\n\nStrong understanding and application of TDD and BDD methodologies.\n\nSolid understanding of software design patterns and system architecture.\n\nExperience with Git and CI/CD practices.\n\nExcellent problem-solving, debugging, and leadership skills.\n\nFamiliarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.\n\nWhat will set you apart:\nKnowledge of gRPC for high-performance service-to-service communication.\n\nKnowledge of AWS technologies such as EC2, RDS, S3, and Lambda.\n\nExperience with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.\n\nThis job operates in a professional office environment.\nThis job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities and qualifications of the job.
