Empower Yourself.\nThis role is tasked with the overall responsibility for the test effort's success. The role involves quality and test advocacy, resource planning and management, and resolution of issues that impede the test effort.\nSingle point of contact for testing for the project\nCoordinates with the project team (QA/Project Management, Bas, Technology and QA Directors) to ensure the Master test Plan is created, reviewed and signed off\nEnsure traceability of all testing deliverables to business requirements\nManage test lead's and tester's work throughout testing life cycle to ensure timely completion of all testing deliverables\nEnsuring the appropriate planning and management of the test resources\nAssessing the progress and effectiveness of the test effort\nDevelop/maintain testing process training materials and ensure that the team follows the testing standards, guidelines, and testing methodology as specified in the test strategy document. \nEstablish and facilitate communication between QA Team, Project Team and appropriate support teams\nWeekly status updates and reporting\nPrioritize impacts and facilitate viable workarounds\nProvide regular status of progress, as well as issues and appropriate escalation requests to Stakeholders (Development Manager, QA Directors and Business Managers)\nProvide ongoing coaching and support for new test resources joining the test or as needed\nAdvocating the appropriate level of quality by the resolution of important Defects\nAdvocating an appropriate level of testability focus in the software development process\nOrganize various scrum and status update meetings\nBuild a testing team of professionals with appropriate skills, attitudes and motivation.\nIdentify Training requirements\nAssign task to all Testing Team members and ensure that all of them have sufficient work in the project\nEnsure content and structure of all Testing documents / artifacts is documented and maintained\nBe a strong leader for the team to look up to and follow. Be instrumental to conduct performance reviews.\nSkills:-\nThe appropriate skills and knowledge for the Test Manager role include:\n10 +years of overall testing experience across multiple platforms and applications which includes proven experience of leading test teams for a minimum of 5 years.\nMust have hands on working experience in manual /automation testing and usage of different test management tools, Testing techniques, Estimation, Design Test solutions.\nExpertise in any two major stream of testing (Functional Automation, Security, process definition or Performance)\nShould have led projects on Manual testing and Automation/Performance testing\nAbility to lead a team of 15+ engineers\nAbility to think on their feet and lead by example. This will be a hand on Lead position with the flexibility to take on new responsibilities when asked to do so\nKnowledge of all aspects of the software engineering process\nPeople skills, especially diplomacy and advocacy skills\nPlanning and management skills\nShould have strong experience on Agile, Kanban etc. processes\nShould have knowledge on any of the Scripting languages\nAble to mentor the team on Technical aspects\nStrong experience in preparing project status reports\nExcellent Communication skills\nThis job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities and qualifications of the job.
