Implementation Engineer

The candidate will have responsibilities across the following functions:

Platform Implementation and Engineering:

• Implement and configure customer solutions on our LOS and DAO platforms.
• Translate business and implementation requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Develop backend services, APIs, utilities, data transformations, and implementation-specific components using Python and FastAPI.
• Build and maintain integrations with third-party banking systems, APIs, and external service providers.
• Develop scripts and automation to improve implementation efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Investigate technical issues across application, API, database, integration, and configuration layers.

Customer Implementation:

• Participate in product walkthroughs, configuration, integration, testing, and go-live activities.
• Understand customer workflows and translate them into platform configurations and technical specifications.
• Work with customer technical teams to troubleshoot API, integration, data, and environment-related issues.
• Support System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), production readiness, and go-live.
• Clearly communicate technical concepts, dependencies, risks, and resolutions to both technical and business stakeholders.
• Progressively take ownership of customer-facing technical discussions and implementation workstreams.

Engineering Practices:

• Use Git and GitHub for source control, branching, code reviews, pull requests, and collaborative development.
• Use VS Code as the primary development environment.
• Follow sound software-engineering practices around maintainability, testing, documentation, and code quality.
• Review existing codebases, debug complex issues, and contribute improvements to shared platform components.
• Work closely with core engineering teams to distinguish customer-specific requirements from reusable product capabilities.

AI-Assisted Development:

• Use modern AI-assisted development tools as part of the engineering workflow.
• Apply AI effectively for debugging, refactoring, test creation, documentation, investigation, and development acceleration.
• Validate AI-generated output and apply engineering judgment rather than relying on generated code without review.
• Identify opportunities where AI can improve implementation productivity and solution quality.

Requirements:

Required Technical Skills:

Candidates should have strong hands-on experience with:

• Python
• FastAPI
• PostgreSQL
• REST APIs and API integrations
• SQL and relational data models
• Git and GitHub
• VS Code
• Debugging and troubleshooting distributed or API-driven applications
• Working with JSON, HTTP, authentication, and integration patterns
• AI-assisted software development tools and workflows

Working knowledge of the following is expected:

• React / JavaScript / TypeScript
• Web application architecture
• Cloud-based application environments
• API authentication mechanisms such as OAuth, API keys, and tokens
• Logging, error handling, and production troubleshooting
• Preferred Domain Knowledge
• Prior experience in banking or financial technology is advantageous but not mandatory.

Experience or familiarity with any of the following will be considered a strong plus:

• Banking and financial services
• Loan Origination Systems (LOS)
• Digital Account Opening (DAO)
• Consumer or business lending
• Deposit account opening
• Banking APIs and core banking integrations
• KYC / KYB / AML systems
• Credit bureaus and credit decisioning
• Payment, funding, document, or e-signature integrations
• Candidates without banking experience should demonstrate the ability and willingness to quickly learn complex business domains.

Education:

• B. E., B. Tech., or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related technical discipline.
• Up to 2 years of relevant professional experience in software engineering, implementation engineering, solution engineering, integration engineering, or a related role.
• Demonstrable hands-on development experience is required.

• Limited travel may be required for customer meetings, implementation workshops, or project milestones.
• Since the role involves customers and teams across geographies, flexibility in working hours may be required.
