We are seeking a Control Centre Operator to join our team!\nIn this role, you will develop the technical knowledge and operational skills needed to safely and efficiently control liquid pipeline(s) or liquid terminal system(s) using Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) technology. Working under the direct supervision of a qualified Control Centre Operator, you will learn to monitor operations, respond to abnormal and emergency conditions, protect product quality, and support the reliable movement of energy.\nBuild your control centre expertise while contributing to the safe, reliable operation of critical energy infrastructure!\nNote:\nInternal job title is Control Centre Operator I.\nThis position is not eligible for relocation or international relocation.\nThis position is not eligible for employment-based sponsorship now or in the future. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the country where the position is located without requiring sponsorship from Enbridge now or in the future.\nWhat You Will Do:\nComplete required Operator Qualification, simulation, procedure review, emergency response, and Control Centre Operations training.\nMonitor pipeline or terminal operations and learn to identify, analyze, and respond to abnormal or emergency operating conditions.\nDevelop working knowledge of operating procedures, pipeline hydraulics, power consumption, system efficiency, and product quality requirements.\nCommunicate effectively with internal teams, field operations, and external shipper control centres to support safe and reliable operations.\nMaintain accurate and timely operating records using systems such as Control Module Technology (CMT), Maximo, JIRA, flow computers, and other control centre tools.\nTroubleshoot SCADA and related monitoring systems, engage the appropriate support teams, and contribute to operational improvements and departmental initiatives.\nWho You Are:\nHold a two-year technical diploma; preference for holding an engineering degree in Chemical, Petroleum, Mechanical, Power, Electrical, or a similar related field.\nMinimal experience required; for candidates who do not possess a technical diploma, an additional 2-years of related experience is required. Preference for directly related experience and knowledge of pipeline, terminal, gas transmission, or fluid hydraulics of 3+ years. Preference also given to candidates who have worked nights, rotating schedules, or other shift-based assignments.\nAbility to work effectively with others and contribute positively in a team-oriented, high-accountability environment.\nDemonstrate excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to customer service, and the ability to coordinate with diverse internal and external partners.\nAnalytical in that you can assess information, manage multiple priorities, and make precise decisions in a fast-paced operating environment.\nShare Enbridge’s core values of Safety, Integrity, Respect, Inclusion, and High Performance through your actions and decisions.\nMust live within a 60-minute drive of Edmonton to be eligible.\nWorking Conditions:\nWork in a Control Centre environment that requires sustained concentration and close attention to detail for extended periods.\nWork 12-hour shifts on a modified schedule that averages 40 hours per week for full-time employees.\nUse available Control Centre resources and healthy practices designed to help manage physical and mental fatigue.\nOperate effectively in an environment that requires collaboration, self-awareness, respect, accountability, and flexibility.\nCandidates who will thrive in the Control Centre environment will be collaborative, self-aware, respectful, accountable flexible and reliable.\nEnbridge is dedicated to supporting our Operators by providing healthy options that combat fatigue and balance the demands of the job.
