Join our team as a Gas Operations Representative I and take on a rewarding role supporting gas distribution operations, equipment maintenance, and customer service that helps keep homes and businesses running every day.\nWe are hiring three successful candidates for this position.\nWhat you will do:\nRespond to emergency situations, including gas leaks, fires, evacuations, asphyxiation incidents, and damaged gas lines, ensuring a prompt and effective response.\nSupport the installation, maintenance, and repair of gas distribution systems, including pipeline construction, plastic pipe fusion, meter work, and service line activities.\nPerform customer service functions such as gas turn-ons/turn-offs, appliance servicing and adjustments, high-bill investigations, service agreements, and payment collection.\nMaintain accurate system records, complete required documentation, process service orders, Blue Stake requests, and contractor verification records.\nSafely operate a variety of field equipment and vehicles while meeting applicable licensing, qualification, medical clearance, and operator certification requirements.\nProvide training and knowledge transfer to Gas Operations employees as needed, supporting safe and effective field operations.\nParticipate in on-call rotations, overtime, shift work, weekends, and holiday coverage to support reliable system operations and emergency response.\nWho you are:\nYou have:\nA High School diploma/GED.\nUsed and operated maintenance construction equipment such as welders, grinders, drills, tampers, pavement breakers and hand tools.\nA valid driver’s license that will be verified upon hire.\nYou can:\nUse dispatching equipment such as radios, telephones and computer terminals while being able to read and interpret distribution maps.\nYou are:\nAn excellent written and verbal communicator with legible handwriting who can understand and complete written and oral instructions.\nKnowledgeable of city, county, state and federal codes, laws, company standard practices and safety procedures relating to gas installation and usage in addition to having a solid understanding of construction procedures and techniques.\nAble to work independently with minimum supervision and handle emergencies/respond to stressful situations.\nWorking Conditions:\nWork performed in the field being exposed to heat/cold/loud noise/confined spaces/radiation majority of the time with 25% travel along with in office work.\nSalary:\nRanges from $24 - $40.68 hourly, USD for US locations based upon candidate’s experience, skills, and internal equity.\nApplicable compensation policies and guidelines apply to internal candidates.\nBenefits:\nA flexible benefits program that allows each employee to select the level of coverage needed for their family in the areas of health, dental, insurance and disability.\nA paid maternity and parental leave benefit that offers up to 20 weeks of paid leave for birth-giving parents and up to 12 weeks for other eligible parents, providing flexibility and support during this important life event.\nValuable retirement savings plans, including a savings plan with company stock as an investment option.\nPaid time off/vacation/sick, plus paid personal days off (depending on location), and paid holidays.\nAn Employee and Family Assistance Program.\nA Wellness Program, which focuses on supporting healthier employees by providing tools, resources, and opportunities to improve physical, mental, social, and financial well-being.\nPhysical Requirements include but are not limited to:\nGrasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 100 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement in addition to being able to smell to detect burning materials, natural gas, hazardous substances such as ammonia and solvents and toxic substances found in hazardous wastes.\nMental Requirements (Both Field & Office) include but are not limited to:\nAbility to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.\nAt Enbridge, we are dedicated to our core value of Inclusion.
