Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the country where the position is located without requiring sponsorship from Enbridge now or in the future.\nWhat You Will Do:\nDevelop engineering solutions that sustain, modernize, and enhance Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Remote Terminal Units (RTU), Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA), Human Machine Interface (HMI), measurement, and industrial networking systems across natural gas facilities.\nLead lifecycle planning, equipment modernization, technology refreshes, and obsolescence mitigation for control systems and operational technology assets.\nProvide engineering leadership for capital projects, facility upgrades, system migrations, equipment replacements, commissioning, startup, and validation activities.\nCreate and maintain engineering standards, technical specifications, OT/ICS network architectures, control narratives, design packages, testing documentation, and governance processes.\nEvaluate system performance, reliability trends, and cybersecurity risks while performing advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for complex operational issues.\nCollaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors, contractors, and project teams while providing technical mentorship and supporting regulatory, audit, cybersecurity, and compliance initiatives.\nWho You Are:\nBachelor’s degree in engineering.\n4+ years of relevant experience in industrial automation, controls, instrumentation, SCADA, or operational technology systems.\nStrong knowledge of PLCs, RTUs, HMI and SCADA systems, industrial networks, measurement systems, and communication protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, EtherNet/IP, and OPC.\nExperience with control-system lifecycle management, modernization, obsolescence planning, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and operational technology cybersecurity.\nAbility to lead technical projects, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, build productive stakeholder relationships, mentor technical colleagues, and communicate clearly in writing and verbally.\nRole requires a valid driver’s license, which will be verified with a motor vehicle check prior to hire.\nWorking Conditions:\nPrimarily office-based.\nModerate travel (~25%) for field visits throughout the service territory to support engineering evaluations, construction, commissioning, troubleshooting, inspections, and startup activities.\nOccasional after-hours support for critical operational incidents, commissioning activities, or planned outages.\nPhysical Requirements include but are not limited to:\nGrasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), walking, climbing stairs, accessing equipment buildings, conducting filed inspections, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.\nMental Requirements (Both Field & Office) include but are not limited to:\nAbility to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.\nSalary:\nRanges from $80,500 - $140,000 USD for U.S. locations, based upon the candidate’s experience, skills, and internal equity.\nApplicable compensation policies and guidelines apply to internal candidates.\nBenefits:\nA flexible benefits program that allows each employee to select the level of coverage needed for their family in the areas of health, dental, insurance, and disability.\nA paid maternity and parental leave benefit that offers up to 20 weeks of paid leave for birth-giving parents and up to 12 weeks for other eligible parents, providing flexibility and support during this important life event.\nValuable retirement savings plans, including a savings plan with company stock as an investment option.\nPaid time off, vacation, and sick leave, plus paid personal days depending on location, and paid holidays.\nAn Employee and Family Assistance Program.\nA Wellness Program focused on supporting healthier employees by providing tools, resources, and opportunities to improve physical, mental, social, and financial well-being.\nEnbridge’s FlexWork hybrid work model offers eligible employees at the Manager level and below the option to work from home on Wednesdays and Fridays, choose a compressed workweek schedule, or use flexible start and end times.
