As a Maintenance Technician I (Electrical Controls Technician I), you will develop foundational knowledge while helping to maintain critical electrical and control systems across our pipeline facilities. Grow your career and apply today!\nWhat You Will Do\nMonitor, inspect, and maintain electrical systems and equipment, including switchgear, motors, generators, pumps, and fans to support reliable operations.\n\nMaintain DC systems such as batteries, chargers, rectifiers, and inverters to ensure continuous power supply to station operations.\n\nSupport the maintenance of control systems including PLCs, HMIs, and associated control networks, along with field devices such as sensors, switches, and actuators.\n\nMaintain and test safety systems including ESD panels, gas and flame detectors, and emergency activation devices to ensure compliance and safe operation.\n\nPerform station maintenance activities, including but not limited to mowing, wastewater and/or environmental compliance and documentation, gas loss reporting, daily station inspections, and station operations. Responsibilities may require daily oversight and support of station activities, including weekends and extended coverage up to seven days per week.\n\nRecognize and respond to abnormal operating conditions, while completing accurate documentation and reports in alignment with company and regulatory requirements.\n\nWork collaboratively within a team environment, supporting coworkers and providing basic guidance to contractors or less experienced employees when required.\n\nFollow all company policies, SOPs, and O&M procedures, while contributing to work planning and supporting continuous improvement and budgeting activities.\n\nWho You Are:\nA high school diploma or equivalent and two years of directly relevant training and experience.\n\nStrong technical and analytical skills demonstrated through training, formal education, and/or experience.\n\nCommunicate verbally and in writing to collect and relay basic facts.\n\nWilling to assist with more complex tasks, equipment and procedures.\n\nAble to work with significant independence and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.\n\nProficient in the use of standard office software applications.\n\nAble to work and contribute to a team environment where inclusiveness, integrity, honesty, and openness are valued.\n\nPreferred:\nAssociate degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent education and/or experience.\n\nPossesses the desire to learn and advance, as an Electrical Controls Technician.\n\nWorking knowledge of operations used in the maintenance of these facilities.\n\nWorking Conditions:\nPrimarily field-oriented (outdoor) with specific office (indoor) functions for training, meetings, and documentation of required tasks dictated by the Department of Transportation and other regulatory agencies for which Enbridge must comply.\n\nMust be able to perform physically demanding activities in all types of weather conditions.\n\nMust be able and willing to work overtime, weekends, shift, on call & standby, and travel overnight as required.\n\nCurrently resides or is willing to relocate within 30 miles of the assigned reporting location.\n\nPhysical Requirements (Include but are not limited to):\nInclude but are not limited to Grasping, kneeling, light-moderate lifting (objects up to 50 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read the fine print), hearing requirement. Mobility to walk in outdoor conditions that occasionally involve uneven and slippery terrain and to enter and exit excavations.
