If so, apply today as one of Enbridge’s Plant Mechanics!\nOur Plant Mechanics are vital to Enbridge’s natural gas Storage and Transmission Operations. They ensure that our equipment is working accurately, safely, and reliably so that we can provide energy to our customers on a regular basis.\nApply today to join our team!\nWhat You Will Do (Responsibilities):\nMaintain, troubleshoot and repair industrial natural gas turbines, power turbines and large centrifugal and axial compressor sets, up to 44,000 horsepower each, used to transport Natural Gas through the Dawn-Parkway System.\nPerform maintenance and repairs on hydraulic operated valves up to 48” diameter used throughout Enbridge’s Storage and Transmission System.\nUse a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for day to day work assignments.\nMaintain, troubleshoot and repair ancillary equipment associated with natural gas compressor plants, e.g. air compressors, emergency generators, fire suppression systems, large boilers, etc.\nParticipate in daily safety tailgate talks and team communication meetings.\nPerform construction oversight as required.\nDaily opportunity to demonstrate innovative and critical thinking with the ability to react quickly to troubleshoot mechanical failures, and ensure equipment is safely placed back in operation.\nWho You Are (Qualifications):\nMust have a minimum Grade 12 education or proven equivalent.\nMust be willing to work days or shifts as the need arises.\nMust show a demonstrated aptitude in all Mechanical, Mathematical and Technical applications.\nMinimum of a Class ‘G’ driver’s license and maintain a suitable driving record.\nMust be willing to progress through all grades of a classification. Progression between grades will become effective upon successful completion of oral, written and/or practical exams.\nMust show a proven ability to work efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision, in a fast paced, energetic team environment.\nAbility to problem solve and use critical thinking skills to troubleshoot and resolve problems.\nRequired to perform respirator fit testing and may be required to use a respirator in the course of duties.\nMay be required to enter a confined space.\nNote:\nProgression between grades will become effective upon successful completion of oral, written, and/or practical exams.\nDue to rotational Emergency Standby Coverage all individuals must live within one hour of the Compressor Station.\nDesired Qualifications:\nPreferred candidates will hold a current & valid Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Millwright and/or Mechanic.\nNOTE: As this position is within the Local Bargaining Unit identified above, please note that members will be given first consideration.\nArtificial Intelligence language to be included on all postings:\nEnbridge is committed to using AI responsibly.
