In this role you will have the opportunity to conduct business process, risk, compliance, and assessments of business and/or operational activities within Internal Audit’s three focused areas: Governance, Operational, and Technology.\nWe'd love to hear from you, apply for this role!\nWhat You Will Do:\nPerform audits end-to-end including execution of audit procedures, conducting interviews, and evaluating the design and effectiveness of controls.\nApply critical thinking to identify areas for improvement, perform root cause analysis and recommend solutions.\nPerform special project work at the request of management or the Audit Finance & Risk Committee.\nParticipate in departmental strategic initiatives and promote the Internal Audit function within the organization.\nBuild and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.\nWho You Are:\nUniversity degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering, Environmental, Health & Safety, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline with experience working either in Internal Audit or Field Operations;\nCompletion or near completion of a professional designation offered by IIA, ISACA, ACFE, PMI, or similar including, but not limited to CIA, CISA, CFE, and/or PMP.\nSix (6) or more years of progressive experience in internal audit, external audit, risk management, internal controls, investigations, compliance, or operational assurance activities.\nUnderstands audit methodology, audit procedures, audit sampling techniques, internal controls, risk management, IIA auditing standards, and performance benchmarking.\nAbility to logically reason, think critically, analyze and evaluate data and information, and draw appropriate conclusions.\nStrong organizational and teamwork skills.\nEffective communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal).\nAbility to work in both Canada and the United States.\nPreferred:\nPrevious experience in operational management systems as well as auditing management systems.\nKnowledge of Canadian/US pipeline /asset regulations and auditing standards.\nWorking Conditions:\nTypical office environment, with occasional travel within Canada and the United States.\nBenefits:\nA flexible benefits program that allows each employee to select the level of coverage needed for their family in the areas of health, dental, insurance and disability.\nA paid maternity and parental leave benefit that offers up to 20 weeks of paid leave for birth-giving parents and up to 12 weeks for other eligible parents, providing flexibility and support during this important life event.\nValuable retirement savings plans, including a savings plan with company stock as an investment option.\nPaid time off/vacation/sick, plus paid personal days off (depending on location), and paid holidays.\nAn Employee and Family Assistance Program.\nA Wellness Program, which focuses on supporting healthier employees by providing tools, resources, and opportunities to improve physical, mental, social, and financial well-being.\nEnbridge’s FlexWork (hybrid work model) offers eligible employees (Manager and below) the option to work from home on Wednesdays and Fridays, opt for a compressed work week schedule, or have flexible start and end times.
