We offer one of the industry’s widest portfolios of power options, including 100% battery-electric, diesel-electric hybrid, CNG, and clean diesel.\nENC is committed to revitalizing American manufacturing through innovation, customer focus, and the delivery of high-quality vehicles that keep communities connected, supported, and moving forward.\nEngineer II,Manufacturing\nLocation: Riverside, CA\nSalary Range: $85,000 - $115,000/yr.\nSchedule: 6:00am - 2:30pm\nPosition Summary:\nResponsible for the design, development, and implementation of tooling solutions for large-scale assembly operations, including metal cutting, machining, and welding. This position focuses on creating assembly fixtures, jigs, and work instructions to improve productivity, quality, and safety. Works closely with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to support new product launches and continuous improvement initiatives. Assignments are moderately complex and require technical judgment within defined procedures and practices.\n Key Responsibilities:\nAssist with designing, developing, executing, and evaluating fitness-for-use testing, product specifications, and process validation plans for a variety of minimum complexity products and/or components; assist with creating and reviewing material part specifications and bills of materials.\nUtilize CAD (Computer Aided Design) or CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) software to develop work instructions for various systems and modules, design and iterate new models, and produce detailed engineering drawings.\nVerify designs through use of calculations and other analytical techniques and tools.\nUnderstand manufacturing processes with emphasis on metal fabrication and assemblies. Apply DFM methodologies to deliver robust engineering packages emphasizing productivity in the manufacturing process.\nAid in the maintenance and creation of bills of materials (BOMs), routings, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).\nFulfill customer requirements (i.e., shop orders) considering design rules and all applicable interface points.\nMonitor key performance indicators and support initiatives related to cost reduction, cycle time, and throughput.\nIdentify problems, root causes, and be able to define & execute resolutions.\nUnderstand and use lean principles as they apply to manufacturing and business processes.\nExecute engineering changes through established processes and documentation.\nCommit to excellence and high standards. \n Position Requirements:\nBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent education required.\n3-5+ years of related experience.\nSkills in computer simulation, cost estimation, design optimization, design review, engineering analysis & design, feasibility study, mathematical analysis & modeling, prototyping, quality assurance process, and reliability analysis.\nKnowledge of the manufacturing industry and vocational standards.\nCAD and CAE software experience.
