For more information, please visit www.Encoded.com.\nPosition Details\nThe Facilities Supervisor is a working, hands-on leader responsible for day-to-day facilities operations and maintenance, vendor and contractor coordination, and ensuring compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. This role supervises contract staff, manages critical facility programs, and partners closely with all site functions to maintain safe, compliant, and reliable operations.\nResponsibilities:\nFacilities Operations\nServes as a supervisory leader accountable for facility operations and maintenance, soft services (including utility services, GMP gowning and cleaning, facility cleaning, pest control, waste management, etc) and compliance of noted programs. \nFrequently performs hands-on physical and operational tasks as part of daily facilities work, including troubleshooting and repair of facilities, utilities and infrastructure equipment and systems and performing preventative maintenance activities on equipment. \nOwns maintenance programs (preventative and non-routine) for facilities, utilities and infrastructure. \nParticipates in capital planning in partnership with the V.P. CMC Projects and other Engineering and Operational leaders. \nRepresents Facilities in audits and inspections and owns documentation, preparation, and follow-up actions for facilities-related inquiries.\nGeneral Site Supervision\nManages and oversees contractors and third party suppliers to ensure effective and compliant delivery of services per established contracts. \nSchedules, coaches, and evaluates contract employees and vendor staff against established goals and expectations. \nOwns coverage planning for facilities operations to ensure appropriate on-site support during normal and off-hours as needed. \nOversees EHS programs for the site including near miss/incident reporting and follow-up, training, waste management, chemical hygiene plan, PPE and ensuring compliance with noted programs.\nResponsible for the day-to-day management of regulated medical waste (RMW) and hazardous waste on site, including: \nCoordinating with Operations for collection and packing of waste from internal areas and designated accumulation areas. \nCoordination of pickups with 3rd party waste management vendor. \nEnsuring appropriate waste supplies and containers are available and properly maintained. \nManaging manifests, manifest binders, and waste profile documentation. \nEnsuring cradle-to-grave tracking is completed and documentation is retained in accordance with regulatory requirements. \nVendor and Budget Management\nCoordinates vendor service requests for facilities, EHS-related services, and procurement of consumables related to waste, cleaning and gowning programs. \nEnsures on-site vendor services are delivered in compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. \nEnsures vendor services and consumable purchases stay within approved budgets. \nManages day-to-day consumables and supplies to avoid stockouts and over-ordering while maintaining budget effectiveness.\nDocumentation and GMP Support\nAdheres to established SOPs and documentation requirements in GMP and regulated environments. \nRepresents Facilities and supports inspections, audits, and internal reviews as required. \nDecision-Making and Issue Resolution\nMakes independent operational decisions within established guidelines for facilities, vendor coordination, and consumable management. \nIs empowered to resolve day-to-day operational issues and determine when to escalate to management. \nProactively updates management on significant issues, decisions made, and any escalations or risks that require leadership visibility.\nRequirements\nPrior experience in facilities, utilities, and maintenance operations, or a similar role in a GMP or -or regulated laboratory environment. \nExperience coordinating and supervising contractors, vendors, or small teams. \nFamiliarity with EHS programs, regulated medical waste, and hazardous waste handling. \nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail in documentation, scheduling, and vendor coordination. \nAbility to work hands-on in a facilities environment and manage multiple priorities.\nBenefits\nComprehensive benefits package, including competitive employer premium contributions \nMeaningful stock option grants \nPTO, sick time and holiday pay \nGenerous Parental Leave program \nPre-tax medical and dependent care programs \nSTD, LTD, Life and AD&D \nProfessional development opportunities \nTeam-building events \nEncoded is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
