Endeavor brings that experience into one platform-helping practices match patients with financing options, manage the process from application through funding, and ultimately make more treatment accessible.\nWe're starting in dental, where our platform is already used by practices and large dental groups and integrates directly with multiple lenders and financial partners.\nWe're still a small team, which means engineers here have an unusually large amount of ownership over both the product and the company we're building.\nThe Role\nWe're looking for a product-minded full-stack engineer to join our engineering team in Austin.\nThis isn't a role where product hands you a fully written spec and you disappear to implement it. Our engineers are involved from the beginning: understanding the problem, figuring out what we should build, working through the user experience, making technical decisions, and ultimately shipping it.\nYou'll work across our stack-Next.js, React, Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, and AWS-and own meaningful parts of the product end-to-end.\nWe're intentionally keeping the engineering team small and high-output. We use AI heavily throughout our development process, move quickly, and give individual engineers a lot of responsibility.\nYou'll work directly with our CTO, the rest of the engineering team, and people across product, operations, implementation, and our customers.\nWhat You'll Do\nOwn product problems end-to-end. Help figure out what to build, not just how to build it.\n\nBuild and ship production features across our frontend, backend, APIs, database, and infrastructure.\n\nTurn complex healthcare and financial workflows into products that feel simple and intuitive.\n\nDesign APIs, data models, integrations, and internal systems that power real-time financing workflows.\n\nWork directly with users and internal teams to understand problems and iterate on solutions.\n\nIntegrate with lenders, banks, payment providers, and other external platforms.\n\nUse AI development tools aggressively to prototype, build, debug, test, and ship faster.\n\nMake thoughtful tradeoffs between speed, simplicity, reliability, and long-term architecture.\n\nOwn what you ship in production and help us continuously improve the quality of the platform.\n\nTake increasing ownership of technical and product decisions as the company grows.\n\nYou'd Probably Like This Role If...\nYou'd rather own an entire feature than one small layer of a system.\n\nYou naturally ask \"why are we building this?\" before jumping into implementation.\n\nYou care about how a product feels to use, not just whether the code works.\n\nYou're comfortable with ambiguity and don't need every requirement defined for you.\n\nYou like working directly with customers or non-engineers to understand problems.\n\nYou've built side projects, startup products, open-source software, or things that weren't assigned to you.\n\nYou use tools like Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar AI tools every day and are constantly improving the way you work with them.\n\nYou enjoy moving quickly while still taking pride in building reliable software.\n\nYou want more ownership than you'd typically get on a larger engineering team.\n\nYou like the idea of working closely with a small group of ambitious people in person.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nWe're more interested in what you've built and how you think than checking every box below.\nIdeally, you have:\n3+ years of professional software engineering experience, or equivalent evidence that you can build and ship great software.\n\nStrong full-stack web development experience.\n\nExperience with React, Next.js, or a similar modern frontend framework.\n\nExperience building backend applications and APIs. Ruby on Rails is a plus, but not required.\n\nStrong fundamentals around relational databases and SQL.\n\nA track record of taking ownership and shipping meaningful production software.\n\nStrong product instincts and an ability to turn ambiguous problems into simple solutions.\n\nComfort working in a startup environment where priorities evolve quickly.\n\nGood judgment around testing, security, reliability, and maintainability.\n\nExperience in fintech, healthcare, payments, lending, or other regulated industries is useful, but absolutely not required.\nHow We Build\nWe believe AI is changing what a small engineering team is capable of.\nWe don't use AI simply to generate more code. We use it throughout the engineering process-to explore unfamiliar systems, prototype ideas, investigate production issues, write and review code, test assumptions, and dramatically shorten the distance between an idea and something a customer can use.\nWe're looking for engineers who are excited about figuring out what great software engineering looks like in that environment.\nAt the same time, we care deeply about fundamentals.
