Come and explore Endicott’s seaside locale where employees are an important part of the bustling campus community!\nPlease apply today if this opportunity looks like the right fit for you.\n.\nPosition Overview\nThe Per Diem Athletic Trainer in the Athletic Department, reporting to the Head Athletic Trainer, is responsible for providing temporary, on-site coverage for athletics events (in-season practices and contests, non-traditional contests, post-season contests, camps and skills clinics) for all varsity or club teams at the discretion of the Head Athletic Trainer. Duties can include care and prevention of athletic injuries, wellness promotion, examination, assessment, diagnosis, immediate care, emergency care, therapeutic intervention, healthcare organization, administration and professional responsibility for all varsity and club student-athletes and on-site practice/contest coverage.\nAbout Endicott College\nEndicott College is a vibrant community located on Boston’s North Shore, with a beautiful oceanfront campus in Beverly, Massachusetts. Adheres to the state practice act, all NATA and NCAA best practices, and standing orders specified by the team physician.\no Provides counseling and education of student-athletes within the scope of practice.\nEvaluate Athletic Injuries and Illnesses (20%)\no Evaluate athletic injuries and illness sustained by a varsity or club student-athlete and refer to other health care professionals as necessary.\no Provide urgent and emergent care as needed by the situation following NATA and NCAA best practices.\no Provide treatment and rehabilitation exercises for athletic injuries or illnesses as needed\nAdministrative Duties (10%)\no Document all injuries and treatments provided and communicate injuries with full time Athletic Training staff\no Maintain cleanliness and safety of the equipment in the Athletic Training clinic(s)\no Works with the coaching staff and other Athletic Department personnel to ensure the safety of all facilities, environments, and equipment used for intercollegiate athletics\nReporting Structure\nReports to the Head Athletic Trainer Works under general supervision.\nSupervisory Responsibilities\nNo supervisory responsibilities.\nCore Competencies\nReliability: able to get the job done, available and engaged with the job and the Endicott community.\n\nOrganization:organizes time and resources well so that work is done efficiently and on time.\n\nCommunication Skills:has clear, effective and efficient ways of communicating, both orally and in writing.\n\nAdaptability: shows a willingness to adopt new ideas and to do things differently.\n\nFollow Through:takes ownership of projects and sees them through fruition.\n\nCustomer Service: anticipates the needs and responds to queries in a timely, competent, and approachable manner.\n\nInitiative/Personal Leadership:identifies opportunities for improvement and actively contributes to solutions.\n\nTeam Player:shows a willingness to collaborate and share information, knowledge and experience with team members.\n\nQualifications and Skills\n Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training\nValid national certification from the BOC\nValid CPR/AED Certification\nValid Massachusetts State licensure through the Board of Allied Health Professionals\nDemonstrated ability to interact effectively with college-age students\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nPossesses the ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, work in various environmental conditions\nAssist injured individuals on/off playing surfaces\nCoverage can include availability of mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays\nUses sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential matters\nPreferred Qualifications N/A\nIn compliance with Massachusetts pay transparency law, the hourly pay range for this position is $53.00 per hour. Endicott College considers factors such as (but not limited to) job responsibilities, relevant experience, skills, internal equity, and external market data when determining pay. The final hourly rate is determined by the Human Resources Office based on these factors.
