QA Engineer - Web APP & Web - Services

As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for end-to-end testing of our applications, ensuring compliance with functional, performance, security, and industry standards. You will take ownership of bug detection, debugging, and resolution while collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and other teams. You will also leverage AI tools to speed up test execution, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance bug resolution workflows. Strong documentation skills are essential to maintain clear test cases, reports, and defect tracking records.

Responsibilities:

• Frontend & Backend Testing: Conduct manual and automated testing to identify and resolve usability, functionality, and performance issues for web applications, mobile applications, and APIs.
• API Functional & Performance Testing: Validate the functionality/feature via APIs, including all critical edge cases along with reliability, speed, and performance bottlenecks.
• Database Testing & Query Validation: Use SQL queries to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency in MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar databases.
• Load & Stress Testing: Analyse system performance under heavy loads and sudden traffic spikes to ensure robustness.
• AI-Powered Test Automation: Use AI tools to automate test scripts, improve test coverage, and optimise testing efficiency.
• Bug Tracking, Debugging & Resolution: Take ownership of issue detection, root cause analysis (RCA), and resolution, working closely with developers and product teams.
• Agile & CI/CD Integration: Work in a fast-moving, agile environment, ensuring testing is integrated into CI/CD pipelines for continuous deployment.
• Security & Input Validation: Ensure data security, proper input validation, and compliance with fintech security standards.
• Banking & Payments Domain Expertise: Knowledge of banking, payments, and financial transactions(local & cross-border).
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Act as a bridge between QA, development, and product teams to ensure smooth testing and release processes.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed test cases, execution reports, bug logs, and process documentation for better traceability and knowledge sharing. Proactiveness & the ability to take ownership are a must.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in manual and automation testing for frontend, backend, and APIs.
• Banking/Fintech & payments domain knowledge is a must.
• Strong documentation skills for test planning, execution, and reporting.
• Expertise in test management tools (TestRail, TestMo, Qase, etc. ).
• Strong debugging & root cause analysis (RCA) skills with experience in bug tracking tools (Jira, Asana, Trello).
• Proficiency in SQL for database verification and query optimisation.
• Hands-on experience with AI tools for automation and test optimization.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and bug-finding skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills. ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus.
• Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, etc. ).
• Familiarity with security testing to detect vulnerabilities.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud).
