As a family-owned company, we look beyond short-term moves and work to create a vision that is forward-thinking for our people, our clients, and the world at large.\nWe are looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join Endress+Hauser Optical Analysis, the global leader in Raman spectroscopy, tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy (TDLAS), and quenched fluorescence (QF) instrumentation for laboratory, process, and manufacturing environments. Our laser-based analyzer systems perform high-performance chemical composition and concentration measurement of all phases of matter in any installation environment.\nWhat is the role about?\nThis position leads the Manufacturing Engineering team and is responsible for developing people, processes, and technical solutions that improve safety, quality, productivity, and operational performance. The role oversees manufacturing engineering projects, technical product documentation, process and equipment implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives while partnering with cross-functional teams to support new product development and production readiness.\nWhich essential functions will you perform?\nDevelop the manufacturing engineering organization through recruiting, coaching and consistent feedback on objectives to support operational excellence goals defined by strategy deployment. \nDevelop and implement benchmark manufacturing processes utilizing lean concepts.\nOptimize productivity and reduce cycle times through efficient, ergonomic and safe workflow and equipment designs.\nResponsible for the maintenance of technical product data such as drawings, specifications, work instructions, bills of material and test plans.\nProject management of new processes and equipment including evaluation, design, specification, selection, justification, acquisition, installation, training, and transfer to manufacturing.\nLead and mentor continual improvement teams on production throughput, lead time and quality issues.\nManage manufacturing engineering projects from concept to release to production.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams during new product development and provide producibility input as needed.\nRemain current in new manufacturing technologies, techniques, and equipment. \nThe duties above describe the general nature and level of work being performed in this job.
