As a family-owned company, we look beyond short-term moves and work to create a vision that is forward-thinking for our people, our clients, and the world at large.\nWe are looking for a Product Compliance Engineer to join Endress+Hauser Optical Analysis, the global leader in Raman spectroscopy, tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy (TDLAS), and quenched fluorescence (QF) instrumentation for laboratory, process, and manufacturing environments. Our laser-based analyzer systems perform high-performance chemical composition and concentration measurement of all phases of matter in any installation environment.\nWhat is the role about?\nThe Product Compliance Engineer will provide guidance to the Technology, Marketing and Operations teams regarding product safety and compliance requirements. This role is responsible for evaluating designs to ensure they will meet applicable regulations including EMI/EMC, low voltage directive, product safety standards, etc. This is a mid-level position allowing the incumbent to grow and develop as the product lines and program grows.\nWhich essential functions will you perform?\nManage the product lifecycle’s certification needs by evaluating design changes, approving certification-impacting modifications, managing concessions, and ensuring continued compliance of certified products.\nDevelop, maintain, and submit certification documentation, technical files, analyses, test plans, reports, declarations, and other regulatory deliverables required to obtain and maintain global product approvals.\nStay abreast of all upcoming changes to Product Safety and Compliance regulations and standards to ensure the organization is meeting all current requirements for new and legacy products.\nOwn relationships with notified bodies, certification agencies, and regulatory authorities, including certification applications, design change assessments, surveillance audits, and maintenance of product approvals.\nInterface with customers as necessary to effectively implement customer requirements.\nCoordinate cross-functional certification activities with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, customers, and external agencies to ensure certification requirements are identified, planned, and successfully executed.\nPrepare and publish Declarations of Conformity.\nAct as company ATEX Representative.\nThe duties above describe the general nature and level of work being performed in this job.
