By leveraging modular design, manufacturing scale, efficient drilling, and latent cooling on the seafloor, we are pioneering a new category of energy that outperforms traditional sources on environmental impact, deployment speed, and cost.\nWhat you'll be doing\nAs a Global Commodity Manager (GCM) at Endurance Energy, you will work closely with engineering and integration teams to translate designs into fully sourced, build-ready systems.\nYou will own supplier selection, purchasing, and planning across mechanical, electrical, and custom-fabricated components. You will track every part on the BOM, identify risks early, and drive actions to ensure builds are never blocked by missing or late hardware.\nYou are expected to operate with high ownership and urgency: proactively managing vendors, resolving delays, and continuously improving how we source and plan hardware.\nKey Responsibilities\nOwn procurement across mechanical, electrical, and custom components\n\nBuild and manage supplier relationships including machine shops, PCBA contract manufacturers, and component vendors\n\nExpand and qualify new suppliers to increase speed, capacity, and redundancy\n\nDrive RFQs, pricing negotiations, and lead time reduction across vendors\n\nTrack full BOM status for upcoming builds and deployments\n\nIdentify long-lead items and develop mitigation plans early\n\nMaintain clear, real-time visibility into part status, risks, and delivery timelines\n\nCoordinate closely with engineering and integration teams to ensure build readiness\n\nManage purchase orders, expedite critical components, and resolve supply issues\n\nSupport make vs buy decisions and vendor selection for new designs\n\nImprove procurement and planning processes for speed and reliability\n\nMaintain organized documentation across suppliers, quotes, and orders\n\nSupport inventory strategy for critical components and spares\n\nQualifications\n5+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or planning for hardware programs\n\nDemonstrated experience managing suppliers for machined parts, fabrication, and/or PCBA\n\nStrong understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, fabrication, electronics assembly)\n\nExperience owning BOMs and tracking part readiness for builds\n\nProven ability to manage multiple vendors and priorities under tight timelines\n\nStrong negotiation skills and ability to drive favorable pricing and lead times\n\nHigh ownership mindset with a bias toward action and problem-solving\n\nAbility to operate independently with minimal structure in a fast-paced environment\n\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail\n\nClear communication with both engineers and vendors\n\nPreferred Skills\nExperience in aerospace, energy, robotics, or other hardware startups\n\nFamiliarity with low-volume, high-complexity builds and prototype environments\n\nExperience working with machine shops, weld/fab vendors, and PCBA contract manufacturers\n\nAbility to read engineering drawings and understand technical requirements\n\nExperience with ERP/MRP systems or lightweight planning tools\n\nTrack record of scaling supplier networks and improving supply chain performance\n\nExperience managing long-lead, high-risk components\n\nCompensation, Benefits, & Perks\nAs a pre-revenue startup, Endurance Energy offers competitive base salaries and generous equity packages for full-time employees.
