In this role, you will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to establish trusted, governed enterprise data that supports reporting, analytics, and operational decision-making across the organization.\nThe ideal candidate will bring strong experience in data governance, metadata management, data quality, data lineage, and stakeholder engagement. This position will support governance initiatives across modern cloud data platforms including AWS and Snowflake.\nContract Duration: 9-12 Months\nLocation: Richmond, VA\n Work Arrangement: Hybrid\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport implementation and continuous improvement of the Enterprise Data Governance Program.\nFacilitate data governance workshops with business and technical stakeholders.\nPartner with Data Owners, Data Stewards, Architects, and Engineering teams to establish governance standards for enterprise datasets.\nDevelop and maintain data dictionaries, business glossaries, metadata repositories, and governance documentation.\nDefine and document Critical Data Elements (CDEs), business rules, and data quality standards.\nPerform data profiling, reconciliation, validation, and data quality assessments.\nDocument business and technical data lineage and end-to-end data flows.\nSupport governance activities for enterprise datasets within AWS and Snowflake environments.\nCreate governance dashboards, metrics, and executive-level reporting.\nAssist with data classification, retention, and information lifecycle management initiatives.\nRequirements\n 10+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Quality, Business Analysis, Metadata Management, or related disciplines.\nExperience implementing enterprise Data Governance programs.\nStrong SQL skills for data analysis, validation, and reconciliation.\nExperience with data lineage, metadata management, and data cataloging.\nExperience developing data policies, procedures, standards, and governance documentation.\nExperience documenting business glossaries, data dictionaries, and metadata repositories.\nStrong requirements gathering and stakeholder engagement experience.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nExperience working with enterprise data warehouses and relational databases.\nPreferred Skills\nAWS (S3, Glue, Glue Data Catalog, Lake Formation)\nSnowflake\nPython\nPower BI\nSharePoint\nSQL Server\nOracle\nPreferred Industry Experience\nHealthcare\nMedicaid\nBehavioral Health\nState Government\nBenefits\nPTO\nHealth Insurance \nVision & Dental \nLife Insurance \n401K Participation & Match \nAbout Us: \nEndurance IT Services provides Managed IT Services, Cybersecurity\nSolutions, Network Infrastructure, and IT Consulting to help\nbusinesses stay secure, connected, and productive.
