The contractor shall provide a software engineer that can create mobile and fixed software solutions that support the embedment of systems on to unmanned systems and assist with solutions that integrate operational systems on to unmanned systems that enable flight, command and control, intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance.\n Education/Experience requirements:\nB.S. in Computer Engineering / Science, Aerospace Engineering, or applicable engineering or science field with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on professional experience, OR\nMinimum of 7 years hands-on professional experience without Degree\nProficient in C, C++ and object-oriented software development methodologies.\nDemonstrated ability to deliver working production software in an agile development environment.\nExtensive knowledge of autonomous navigation and path planning techniques: waypoint navigation, geofencing, dynamic routing, obstacle avoidance, and collision detection algorithms.\nExtensive knowledge in BetaFlight, AruPilot, and Px4 - 5 years.\nExperience with sensor fusion techniques (e.g., combining data from IMUs, GPS, cameras, LiDAR) to enhance situational awareness and navigation accuracy.\nExperience working with ground control software such as@Ground Control for mission planning, execution, and monitoring.\nExperience with the Qt/QML framework for developing user-friendly graphical interfaces.\nFamiliarity with MAVLink protocol for communication between UAVs and ground stations.\nProficiency in Python scripting for automation, data analysis, and prototyping tasks.\nStrong understanding of data networking concepts, including TCP/IP protocols.\nProven ability to troubleshoot network communication issues.\nSkilled in parsing and reverse engineering complex codebases (e.g., C++, Python) to identify subtle errors in data communications within hardware and software systems.\nExperience with CAD\nDemonstrated ability to fully build target SW from source files.\nThis job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employees in this position.
