We compare with the best version of ourselves\n\nWhat is the role?\nAs a Senior Spacecraft Systems Engineer you will join our System Design team in Sofia. You will play a central role in the architecture, design, and development of our next-generation FRAME satellite platforms, working at the intersection of all spacecraft subsystems - power, communications, data handling, structures, and thermal.\nAs a senior member of the team, you will own system-level requirements and budgets, drive design trade-offs, and work hands-on with subsystem engineers, AIT teams, and external partners to take our spacecraft from concept through qualification to flight.\nSome of your daily tasks will include:\nDefine, decompose, and manage system requirements - from top-level mission and customer requirements down to subsystem and component specifications - ensuring full traceability throughout the spacecraft lifecycle\nDevelop and maintain system architecture definitions, functional block diagrams, interface definitions, and operational concepts\nOwn and iterate system-level budgets (mass, power, data, link) and drive design trade-offs across subsystems\nSupport the design, development, integration, and verification of spacecraft subsystems (EPS, communications, on-board data handling, ADCS, structures)\nWork closely with AIT teams during assembly, integration, functional, and environmental test campaigns, and support the resolution of non-conformances\nInterface with suppliers, subcontractors, and customers on technical matters - reviewing deliverables, supporting design reviews, and ensuring requirement compliance\nProduce and review high-quality technical documentation: specifications, interface control documents, verification plans and reports, and design review data packages\nMentor junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of our systems engineering processes and tools\nWhat do we look for?\nDemonstrated experience in the design, development, and delivery of spacecraft systems (power, communications, data handling, etc.)\nDegree in aerospace engineering, electronics, computer science, or a similar technical field\nExperience with defining, tracking, and flowing down requirements from top-level requirements to component requirements\nAbility to communicate through and understand graphical representations - schematics, sequence diagrams, state diagrams\nStrong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work across disciplines in a fast-paced environment\nExcellent written and spoken English\nHow to Stand Out:\nProficiency in using engineering software and tools for satellite design and analysis, e.g. SolidWorks\nExperience analysing different system budgets such as power, link, and delta-V\nExperience with orbit simulation tools, e.g. STK, GMAT\nExperience with DFMEA\nBasic working knowledge of C/C++ or Python\nKnowledge of UML/SysML\nProject and risk management skills\nExperience with Atlassian tools (Jira/Confluence)\nFamiliarity with ECSS standards and formal verification/validation processes\nWhy EnduroSat?\nFast-paced and delivery-focused cultureWe work with well-defined quarterly based objectives, that allow us to fast track the progression of our work and improve as we go\n\nTough engineering challenges & hard-core R&DYou will be able to work on unique space technology and build next-gen innovations, while mentored by world-recognized space experts\n\nConstant learning and progressionOwn your personal growth by navigating through our career progression framework and educational programs\n\n Chance to join our space educational programMeet international space experts and improve your knowledge and skillset with our hands-on educational program\n\nAt EnduroSat, we embrace diversity and strive to create an inclusive environment where everyone is treated with fairness and respect.
