This position serves as a key resource for employees, internal stakeholders, government agencies, and third-party vendors, helping maintain payroll accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, customer-focused, and capable of independently identifying and resolving issues in a fast-paced environment.\nKey Responsibilities:\nPayroll Administration\n· Support payroll-related transactions, including bonuses, vacation payouts, monthly payrolls, posting payments, per diem payments, and other supplemental earnings.\n· Review payroll reports and identify discrepancies prior to payroll processing and finalization.\n· Ensure payroll transactions are processed accurately and in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.\n· Research and resolve payroll exceptions and discrepancies in a timely manner.\nPayroll Tax Administration\n· Process payroll tax payments, filings, and related activities through ADP SmartCompliance.\n· Reconcile and balance monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll tax reports.\n· Assist with tax-related audits, inquiries, and compliance requirements.\nBanking & Reconciliation\n· Utilize banking platforms, including Fifth Third Direct, to support payroll funding and payroll-related banking activities.\n· Review payroll funding transactions and investigate discrepancies.\n· Monitor and resolve outstanding payroll items, including uncashed checks and stale-dated payments.\n· Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.\nProcess Improvement & Compliance\n· Proactively identify process improvement opportunities that enhance payroll accuracy and efficiency.\n· Verify employee information through appropriate government and regulatory resources, including Social Security number validation.\n· Collaborate with Human Resources, Finance, and external partners to resolve complex payroll issues.\n· Maintain documentation of payroll procedures, controls, and best practices.\n· Support compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.\nQualificationsRequired\n· Minimum of 2 years of payroll, accounting, HR, or related administrative experience.\n· Experience working with payroll systems and payroll tax processes.\n· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.\n· Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.\nPreferred\n· Experience with ADP SmartCompliance or similar payroll tax platforms.\n· SAP experience\n· Knowledge of payroll funding processes and banking platforms.\n· Experience with payroll reconciliations and tax reporting.\nCore Competencies\n· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills\n· Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy\n· Customer-focused mindset with excellent communication skills\n· Ability to work independently and collaboratively\n· Strong reconciliation and balancing capabilities\n· High degree of professionalism and confidentiality\n· Effective time management and organizational skills\n· Continuous improvement mindset\nEnerfab is an equal opportunity employer.
