{"id":2034967,"url":"https://alion.io/job/enerflex-engineering-technician-power-generation","title":"Engineering Technician - Power Generation","company":{"id":3008084,"name":"Enerflex","domain":"enerflex.com","url":"https://alion.io/company/enerflex","size_band":"1001-5000","is_staffing_agency":false,"employer_type":"direct","is_intermediary":false,"listed_via":null,"ats_vendor":"SuccessFactors","truth_index":null},"role":"Field & Service","role_family":"Field & Service","seniority":"junior","employment_type":null,"work_mode":"on_site","remote_scope":null,"remote_scope_basis":null,"remote_working_hours":null,"hiring_geo_confidence":"structured","locations":["Houston, United States"],"countries":["US"],"hiring_countries":[],"hiring_countries_total":0,"salary":null,"salary_estimate":{"min_usd":34000,"max_usd":59000,"period":"year","method":"role_seniority_country_remote_cell","sample_n":5731},"experience_years_min":2,"visa_sponsorship":false,"relocation_package":false,"has_equity":true,"technologies":[{"name":"Microsoft Office","optional":false},{"name":"AutoCAD","optional":true}],"status":"live","first_seen_at":"2026-10-07T15:38:20Z","employer_posted_date":"2026-10-07","last_verified_at":"2026-10-12T04:29:07Z","board_verified":true,"closed_at":null,"days_open":4,"trust":{"level":"ok","repost_count":null,"flags":[],"days_open":4},"description":"Summary\nIn accordance with the goals and initiatives set forth by the Company and Engineering Department, the Engineer Technician will assist with coordinating and performing the activities related to power generation project engineering efforts.\nPrinciple Responsibilities and Duties\nEngineer Technician will work under the direction of the Engineering Manager or his/her designate on tasks that include, but are not limited to the following:\nReview project scope and customer specs ahead of Kickoff. \nCreate and maintain standard project Document Submittal list (VRDL)\nMonitor and report on engineering hours and schedule adherence on projects.\nReview Turn-In and PO for accuracy and costing to identify issues early.\nProvide initial P&ID markups to Design Team to start model.\nComplete and submit project pipe specs\nAssist PEs in execution tasks such as creating Bill of Materials, reviewing drawings, conducting equipment inspections (walkdowns), creating manuals, and producing datasheets.\nEngineering document control and transmittal management\nCoordination with project management, supply chain, manufacturing, and quality control.\nTracking engineering actions items and deliverables\nSupport and implementation of corrective actions related to non-conformances, equipment shortages and design changes.\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline, preferred and 2 years of relevant industry experience; or\n7 years of relevant industry experience in lieu of a degree.\nSelf-motivated\nExcellent Microsoft Office skills\nAbility to manage time effectively\nStrong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nFoundational understanding of the following engineering principles used in our products:- Mechanical Design\n- Thermodynamics\n- Instrumentation & Controls\nTechnicalReading and interpreting P&IDs, GA drawings, and electrical schematics.\nBOM development and review.\nEquipment datasheets and vendor documentation review.\nUnderstanding of applicable industry codes and standards.\n\nPrevious Assignments\nNatural Gas Engine and Generator experience preferred\nExposure to the oil & gas industry would be beneficial\nPreferred Experience:\nAutoCAD/Plant 3D or similar design tools.\nERP systems (SAP, IFS, Oracle, etc.).\nDocument management systems.\nPackaged power generation equipment.\n\nPhysical Requirements\nFast-paced general office environment.
