This role leads manufacturing bay and yard operations involving hydraulic jacking systems, skid tracks, heavy machine skates, transport interfaces, and specialized rigging equipment. The supervisor ensures all work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with engineered lift and transport plans, company standards, and customer requirements.\nPrinciple Responsibilities and Duties\nOperations Management\nSupervise all jack-and-slide operations involving heavy equipment and midstream natural gas equipment skids.\nCoordinate equipment loading, unloading, skidding, positioning, and final placement.\nManage hydraulic jacking systems, skid tracks, cribbing, rollers, and associated rigging equipment.\nVerify equipment weights, dimensions, center of gravity locations, and load paths prior to execution.\nEnsure proper setup and inspection of all lifting and rigging equipment.\nSafety Leadership\nPromote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA, company, and customer safety requirements.\nConduct pre-job planning meetings, Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and daily toolbox talks.\nMonitor work activities to identify and mitigate hazards.\nStop work when unsafe conditions exist and implement corrective actions.\nParticipate in incident investigations and corrective action development.\nExecution & Planning\nRead and interpret engineered lift plans, rigging drawings, transport plans, fabrication drawings, and site layouts.\nCoordinate with Manufacturing Planning Team, Assembly Supervisors, Project Managers, Project Engineers, crane operators, transport providers, and customer representatives.\nVerify operation sequencing and equipment clearances before work begins.\nMaintain accurate records of equipment movements, inspections, and daily activities.\nTeam Leadership\nDirect, mentor, and train riggers, operators, and assigned personnel.\nAssign work responsibilities and monitor crew performance.\nEnsure team members understand job scope, safety expectations, and operational procedures.\nSupport workforce development through coaching and technical training.\nEquipment & Asset Management\nOversee inspections and maintenance of hydraulic jacking systems and rigging equipment.\nEnsure equipment certifications and inspections remain current.\nCoordinate equipment mobilization and demobilization activities.\nMonitor equipment inventory and replacement needs.\nQualifications\nExperience\nMinimum 5 years of experience in heavy rigging, lifting, transportation, or jack-and-slide operations.\nMinimum 2 years of supervisory or crew leadership experience.\nExperience in oil and gas, heavy industrial manufacturing, modular fabrication, or construction environments preferred.\nExperience handling large oil and gas equipment and modular skid packages.\nTechnical Knowledge\nStrong understanding of:\nRigging principles\nLoad weight calculations\nCenter of gravity concepts\nHydraulic jack-and-slide systems\nHeavy haul transportation methods\nCribbing and support systems\nLift planning and execution\nLeadership Skills\nDemonstrated ability to lead crews in high-risk environments.\nStrong communication and organizational skills.\nAbility to make sound decisions under changing field conditions.\nStrong focus on safety, quality, and productivity.\nCertifications & Licenses\nRequired\nNCCCO Rigger Level II Certification\nNCCCO Signalperson Certification\nOSHA 30-Hour Construction or General Industry Training\nCurrent CPR/First Aid Certification\nValid Driver's License\nPreferred\nAPI RP 2D Rigger Certification\nPEC SafeLand USA\nClass A CDL\nApplicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
