For over 50 years, we have supported our clients across the world with unrivalled expertise, equipment, and technology throughout the entire asset lifecycle - both offshore and onshore.\nOperating through our global business lines of Energy Solutions, Infrastructure & Industrial Solutions, and Lifting Solutions, we provide a broad range of specialist services including cranes, lifting, fluid power, training, equipment rental, pipeline, process, subsea, and valve services.\nAt EnerMech, we are driven by operational excellence, innovation, and technical expertise, delivering value through integrated solutions that reduce risk, improve efficiency, and enhance performance for our customers worldwide.\nRole Overview\nEstablish, develop and lead the Americas engineering function across ES and IIS, implementing the global engineering operating model while maintaining responsive regional delivery.\nProvide dedicated transformation leadership and remain the long-term regional owner of capability, standards adoption, engineering governance implementation and workforce development.\n Translate globally defined standards, competency requirements and approval levels into consistent local practice.\n Lead the assigned regional engineering team and own its training, development and competency readiness.\n Coordinate capability across countries and service lines and with other regional engineering leaders to enable agile delivery and global workforce flexibility.\nManage the regional technical authority process and access to appointed authorities. \nResponsibilities\n Implement the engineering transformation locally: establish the capability and workload baseline, assign process owners, clarify responsibilities and deploy approved procedures, review gates and readiness requirements.\nMaintain a regional engineering delivery and capacity plan with operations, project and commercial leaders; match work to verified competence, secure checking capacity and escalate resource conflicts.\nEmbed engineering early in tendering, project planning, equipment preparation, mobilization and field handovers, supporting realistic technical commitments and effective delivery interfaces.\nEnsure preparation, independent checking and approval responsibilities are explicit and recorded. Route high-risk or specialist decisions to appointed Technical Authorities and escalate unresolved technical / schedule conflicts to the Global Engineering Director.\nLead adoption of controlled documentation, shared templates, verified calculation methods and approved digital workflows; manage regional implementation of engineering process and tool improvements within the global strategy.\nImplement the global competency framework and maintain regional team training and development plans aligned with competency gaps and delivery needs; coordinate structured training, mentoring and graduate rotations, develop multiskilling across relevant ES and IIS services and support succession planning.\nCoordinate regional recruitment and capability development with regional leadership and HR.\nCoordinate with other Regional Engineering Managers to share visibility of capacity, competencies and demand; agree cross-regional resource sharing, mobility and development opportunities to respond rapidly to changing priorities and provide global delivery flexibility.\n Align assignments with verified competence and regional commitments, promote common methods and reuse of technical lessons, and feed improvement proposals into the global framework.\nMonitor engineering quality, schedule adherence, readiness, rework, review turnaround and capability development; provide transparent regional delivery reports, risk escalation and corrective-action follow-up.\nApply EnerMech and client quality, health, safety and environmental requirements; ensure competent technical risk assessment, management of change and closure of engineering assurance findings.\nSustain regional ownership through routine governance, standards-adoption checks, training compliance and continuous improvement across onshore and offshore delivery.\nRequirements\n Experience: normally 8-12+ years of relevant engineering experience, including at least 3 years in engineering leadership\nQualifications: relevant engineering degree, including Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Chemical or Ocean Engineering according to discipline, plus demonstrated application.\n Evidence: implementation of standards and review processes; coordination of engineering resources; structured training / mentoring; and delivery across operations and project interfaces.\n Competency: Advanced leadership, planning and governance, with sufficient technical breadth to direct multidisciplinary ES / IIS support and recognize specialist limits.\nTravel: travel across the Americas and collaboration with global teams as required. \nBenefits\nWhy Join EnerMech?\nAt EnerMech, you'll join a global organisation where innovation, collaboration and technical excellence drive everything we do.
