The ideal candidate has strong backend engineering experience, solid software design skills, and the ability to work independently in a distributed environment.\nFluency in English is essential, as the role requires regular collaboration with international stakeholders, engineering teams, product owners, and external partners.\nKey responsibilities\nAs a Backend Engineer, you will:\nDesign, develop, test, and maintain backend services for a cloud-based IoT platform\nBuild reliable, scalable, and secure APIs used by Web applications, mobile applications, devices, and external systems\nContribute to the architecture of backend components, microservices, data flows, and integrations\nWork on features related to device management, telemetry ingestion, user management, notifications, reporting, firmware updates, and system integrations\nCollaborate with frontend engineers, DevOps engineers, architects, QA, and product stakeholders\nEnsure backend services are observable, maintainable, and ready for production use\nWrite clean, well-tested, and well-documented code\nParticipate in code reviews and promote engineering best practices\nContribute to technical professional experience as a Backend Engineer, Software Engineer, or similar role\nSolid experience designing and implementing backend services and REST APIs\nGood understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native architectures\nExperience with relational and/or time-series databases\nGood knowledge of authentication, authorization, API security, and secure coding practices\nExperience writing automated tests and working with CI/CD pipelines\nAbility to analyze requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions\nStrong problem-solving skills and
