Wherever there is a need for motive power, EnerSys offers the perfect energy solution.\nJob Purpose\nWe are now accepting applications for a C/F Technician in department 70, at the main plant. This position is currenlty posted as C Shift, off Mon & Tues. This is a skill and qualification position, so to be considered you must meet the job requirements.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nTransport cells or batteries to circuits. \nConnect cells or batteries to circuits. \nRemove and install charging connectors. \nFill cells and level cells with acid during charging. \nWater cells on charge. \nDisconnect cells or batteries from circuits and transport as needed. \nBurn in or remove forming wire. \nRead and adjust gravity. \nOperate overs and dry chargers. \nStack and transport plates. \nCount and record various production records. \nMaintain and clean charging and forming areas. \nPerform daily housekeeping, hygiene & cleanliness procedures. \nWork overtime as required. \nOther duties as assigned by supervisor. \nQualifications\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nMinimum Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.\n\nAt least one (1) year of manufacturing or distribution center experience.\n\nAt least one (1) year of experience with material handling equipment.\n\nProficiency with computers and computer-based programs.\n\nGeneral Job Requirements\nMust be able to frequently bend; twist; reach; stoop; kneel or crouch.\nMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds/23 kilos on a daily continuous basis. Anything heavier will be done with the assistance of a mechanical device or with the assistance of another employee.\nMust be able to stand for long periods of time\nEmployees are responsible for wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment in the proper manner at all times.\nMust be able and willing to wear a respirator.\nMust be able and willing to work varying schedules which may include nights, weekends, and public holidays.\nThis position is exposed to harmful materials such as lead/fiberglass products. Periodic blood tests are required to measure the level of lead. Precautions are taken by the company/employee to reduce the risk of exposure and help ensure everyones safety.\nThis position requires working in a plant/warehouse environment.
