Wherever there is a need for motive power, EnerSys offers the perfect energy solution.\nJob Purpose\nThis position supports the EnerSys Operating System (EOS) transformation efforts. This position implements and supports actions that bring about improvements to operations and processes which may include, but are not limited to, safety, quality, delivery, cycle time, growth, margin expansion and inventory levels.\nProjects will be integrated with the region / plants lean deployment efforts and meet the guidelines, criteria and metrics established by the business.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nExecuting against long and short-term objectives to support EOS goals.\nWorking with necessary plant personnel to identify, address, and eliminate process related obstacles.\nAssisting in the change of systems/processes as required in support of the EOS initiatives.\nLearn value stream mapping techniques to design optimal information, material, and production flow methods.\nAct as a change agent to bring about improvements in process through the active support, participation in leadership of Rapid Improvement Events; includes:Owning pre and post standard work.\nParticipating in facilitating projects/events.\nParticipate in MDI gemba walks.\n\nHelp update and maintain visual performance tools, including mission control and MDI boards.\nConduct cycle time analysis, time studies, work balance/flow improvements, work place analysis and improvement.\nHelp develop more efficient ways to use people, machines, materials, information, and energy to make a product or service.\nRegular in person attendance with on time arrival/departure. Required to work irregular hours on short notice. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:\nMinimum of 1 year manufacturing experience.\nSuccessful demonstration of Lean thinking and teamwork.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nA two year degree in a related field or at least 3 years’ experience in a process improvement functions at a manufacturing facility or distribution center.\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.\nCOMPETENCIES:\nAbility to lead an improvement team.Must be a results-oriented “change agent\" who is an effective business systems thinker.\n\nAble to learn statistical analysis tools/methodology and basic project management.\nRegular in person attendance with on time arrival as scheduled.
