This role works closely with operations, quality, engineering, and supply chain teams to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain compliance with internal and external standards.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nDevelop, optimize, and maintain manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput.\nSupport day to day production activities by troubleshooting process issues and providing technical guidance.\nFunction as liaison between Manufacturing and Engineering to smoothly transition newly designed products to production.\nCreate and update work instructions, process documentation, and standard operating procedures.\nProvide training to production operators to fully comply with work instructions, quality standards and engineering requirements, as needed.\nLead and support continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing and root cause analysis activities.\nDesign and implement tooling, fixtures, and equipment improvements to enhance production capability and operator safety.\nAnalyze production data to identify trends, process bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.\nMonitor rework and repair operations, consistently monitor and report yield issues, and regularly highlight significant findings.\nConduct failure analysis, identify root causes, and pursue effective solutions to minimize in-process defects.\nSupport equipment maintenance, calibration, and layout planning for efficient workflow.\nOther duties as assigned.\nQualifications\n3+ years in Manufacturing Engineering role, defense Manufacturing industry, strongly preferred.\nBachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.\nUnderstanding of lean manufacturing principles, quality systems, and process control.\nStrong teamwork and collaboration with various groups both internal and external.\nExcellent communication, written and verbal skills with cross functional teams.\nStrong problem solving skills and ability to lead root cause and corrective action efforts.\nProficient with CAD software, SolidWorks a plus.\nGeneral Job Requirements\nGeneric\nEnerSys is always looking to hire top talent.
