With sales and service locations throughout the world, and over 100 years of battery experience, EnerSys is the power/full solution for stored DC power products.\nJob Purpose\nThe Networking Administrator II provides technical support for end-users with an emphasis on maintaining and optimizing our network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance of our network systems, and providing advanced technical support to end-users. Interacts closely with server/storage, cybersecurity, and help desk teams to resolve network issues.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nMonitor, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, VPN, and wireless networks to ensure optimal performance and reliability.\nManage and maintain network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other related equipment.\nPerform routine network updates, patches, and configurations.\nDocument network configurations, procedures, and policies.\nProvide Level 2 support for network-related issues, escalating to Level 3 support or external vendors as needed.\nWork closely with the IT Help Desk and other IT teams to resolve technical problems quickly and effectively.\nUtilize network monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve potential issues.\nMaintain accurate records of network incidents, changes, and performance metrics.\nEnforce and follow EnerSys policies and procedures\nOther duties may be assigned.\nQualifications\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. systems administration, or a related IT infrastructure role.\nPrior help desk, desktop support, or PC-related experience preferred.\nTechnical Skills\nIn-depth knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, OSPF, and BGP.\nProficiency in network security principles, practices, and tools.\nStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems (server and workstation environments).\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications.\nWorking knowledge of PC hardware, peripheral devices, and printing systems.\nExperience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS).\nProfessional Competencies\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.\nAbility to develop, execute, and monitor project plans while providing timely project status updates.\nStrong customer service orientation with the ability to efficiently manage time and resources.\nLanguage Requirements\nAbility to effectively read, write, speak, and understand English.\nMathematical & Reasoning Skills\nAbility to perform basic mathematical calculations.\nAbility to apply sound judgment and common-sense reasoning to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.\nCertifications\nNo certifications required.\nAdditional Requirements\nAvailability to provide after-hours or weekend support for system upgrades, maintenance activities, and emergency situations.\nParticipation in an after-hours on-call rotation is required.\nTravel Requirements: Occasional travel to company
