We continuallystrive to foster teamwork, engagement and enhance our employee’s skills and competence by providing appropriate training.\nCompensation Range: 81,700-120,000 plus bonus\nCompensation may vary based on applicant's work experience, education level, skill set, and/or location.\nJob Purpose\nThe Strategic Sourcing Manager, New Product Introduction (NPI), is responsible for leading sourcing and supplier engagement activities throughout the product development lifecycle. This role partners closely with Engineering, Product Management, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to develop sourcing strategies, identify and qualify suppliers, manage supplier risk, and ensure successful product launches that meet cost, quality, schedule, and performance objectives.\nThe individual will drive supplier selection, commercial negotiations, should-cost analysis, design-for-supply-chain initiatives, and supplier readiness activities to support new product commercialization and long-term business growth.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nKey Responsibilities\nNew Product Introduction (NPI) Leadership\nLead sourcing activities from concept through product launch and production ramp.\nParticipate in product development teams to ensure supply chain requirements are incorporated early in the design process.\nDevelop sourcing strategies aligned with NPI timelines, product roadmaps, and business objectives.\nDrive supplier involvement in Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Cost (DFC), and Design for Supply Chain initiatives.\nEnsure supplier readiness and capacity to support product launch requirements.\nStrategic Sourcing & Supplier Selection\nIdentify, assess, and select suppliers for new products, technologies, and components.\nConduct RFQs, RFPs, supplier evaluations, and sourcing events.\nLead commercial negotiations covering pricing, tooling, volume commitments, lead times, quality requirements, and contractual terms.\nDevelop sourcing recommendations based on total cost of ownership, technical capability, quality performance, scalability, and risk.\nEstablish dual-source and risk mitigation strategies where appropriate.\nCost Management\nSupport product cost targets and profitability objectives.\nPerform cost modeling, should-cost analysis, and benchmarking activities.\nCollaborate with Engineering and suppliers to identify value engineering and cost reduction opportunities.\nTrack and report NPI sourcing savings and cost avoidance initiatives.\nManage tooling investments and capital requirements associated with new products.\nSupplier Development & Qualification\nPartner with Supplier Quality and Engineering teams to qualify new suppliers and components.\nLead supplier capability assessments, audits, and production readiness reviews.\nMonitor supplier APQP, PPAP, qualification, and validation activities.\nEnsure suppliers meet quality, delivery, compliance, and performance requirements.\nSupport supplier corrective action and continuous improvement initiatives.\nProject & Program Management\nManage sourcing deliverables within product development stage-gate processes.\nMaintain project timelines, risk registers, sourcing milestones, and action plans.\nDrive cross-functional alignment on sourcing decisions and supplier strategies.\nEscalate supply, quality, capacity, or schedule risks that may impact product launch timelines.\nSupport launch readiness reviews and production ramp activities.\nSupply Chain Risk Management\nAssess potential supply chain risks related to supplier capacity, geographic exposure, sole-source dependencies, and material availability.\nDevelop contingency plans for critical components and suppliers.\nMonitor market conditions affecting commodities, lead times, and supplier performance.\nSupport business continuity and supply resiliency planning.\nSupplier Relationship Management\nBuild strategic relationships with key suppliers and technology partners.\nFacilitate supplier business reviews and executive-level engagements.\nLeverage supplier innovation to improve product performance, cost, and manufacturability.\nPromote collaboration between suppliers and internal engineering teams.\nQualifications\nEducation\nBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.\nExperience\n3-5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or supplier management.\nMinimum 1 year supporting New Product Introduction (NPI), new product development, or product commercialization programs.\nExperience leading supplier selection and commercial negotiations.\nStrong understanding of manufacturing processes and product development environments.\nExperience in electronics, industrial equipment, automotive, aerospace, or technology industries preferred.\nTechnical Skills\nStrategic sourcing and category management.\nSupplier qualification and development.\nCost analysis and should-cost modeling.\nContract negotiation and supplier agreements.\nAPQP, PPAP, and supplier quality methodologies.\nProject management and cross-functional leadership.\nERP and procurement systems experience (SAP, Oracle, JDE, etc.).\nAdvanced Excel, analytics, and data-driven decision making.\nCompetencies\nStrong business and
