This role is essential for ensuring the reliable, secure, and scalable foundation of the factory’s operations, from the initial build-out of network systems to the ongoing protection of critical data and operational technology.\nThe ideal candidate will possess both technical expertise and project management skills to oversee the planning, design, and implementation of all IT infrastructure and cybersecurity measures, in close collaboration with the factory’s operational needs, corporate standards and industry best practices. The Project Manager will work closely with internal teams, vendors, and external partners to deliver a robust, secure digital environment that supports advanced manufacturing technologies.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nInfrastructure Design & Implementation\nLead the planning, development, and deployment of the factory’s IT infrastructure, including network systems, data centers, cloud architecture, and operational technology.\nCoordinate the design and installation of wired and wireless network systems, servers, storage, and backup solutions to support 24/7 factory operations.\nEnsure infrastructure scalability to support growth and future digitalization needs, including IoT, Industry 4.0, and automation platforms.\nCybersecurity Strategy & Execution\nSupport the development and implementation of a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy for the factory, protecting both IT systems and operational technology (OT) from external and internal threats.\nLead initiatives to establish secure access controls, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security tools in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.\nCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to implement cybersecurity measures that support advanced manufacturing technologies, including AI, robotics, and automation systems.\nProject Planning & Management\nDevelop detailed project plans for both infrastructure and cybersecurity components, outlining milestones, deliverables, risk mitigation, and resource requirements.\nManage cross-functional project teams, ensuring collaboration between IT, operations, and external partners to meet project timelines and objectives.\nTrack project progress, adjust schedules and resources as needed, and provide regular status updates to senior management and key stakeholders.\nCyber Risk Management & Compliance\nAssess cyber risks related to the factory’s IT and OT environments, implementing mitigation strategies to reduce vulnerabilities) in collaboration with the corporate cybersecurity group\nEnsure compliance with industry standards, data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and other cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) in collaboration with the corporate cybersecurity group\nSupport regular security audits, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments to validate the effectiveness of implemented cybersecurity measures.\nVendor & Stakeholder Coordination\nWork closely with external vendors and service providers to select, procure, and implement appropriate technologies for infrastructure and cybersecurity.\nAct as the primary point of contact for communication with third-party vendors, ensuring that contractual obligations, SLAs, and security requirements are met.\nFacilitate coordination between IT, operations, legal, and senior leadership teams to align project goals with broader business objectives.\nBudget Management\nDevelop and manage project budgets for infrastructure and cybersecurity initiatives, ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining high standards of performance and security.\nMonitor expenditures and adjust budgets as necessary to meet financial goals without compromising security or operational integrity.\nDisaster Recovery & Business Continuity\nEstablish and maintain disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BC) plans for the factory’s IT and OT environments, ensuring minimal disruption to operations in the event of an incident.\nOversee the testing and refinement of DR/BC plans to ensure effectiveness and rapid recovery.\nQualifications\nEducation\nBachelor’s or master’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.\nCISSP, CISM, PMP, or similar cybersecurity and project management certifications preferred.\nExperience\nMinimum of 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure and cybersecurity, preferably in a manufacturing or high-tech environment.\nProven track record of managing infrastructure projects and implementing cybersecurity frameworks for critical systems.\nExperience with IT/OT convergence, cloud services, industrial control systems (ICS), and network security in a factory setting.\nSkills\nIn-depth knowledge of network architecture, cybersecurity tools, protocols, and standards (e.g., firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS).\nExcellent project management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.\nFamiliarity with compliance requirements, such as NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, and industry-specific standards for manufacturing.\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills, able to translate technical needs into business objectives.\nProblem-solving
