Joining us means working on cutting-edge automation in a global organization committed to sustainability, innovation, and operational excellence.\nThis is your chance to take ownership of high-impact engineering projects while influencing how modern manufacturing systems evolve.\nThe impact you will make\nAs a Senior HV & Controls Engineer, you will support and lead initiatives that enhance the performance, safety, and reliability of our production equipment and electrical systems Including HV Systems and switchgear, to PLCS drives and robotics.\nWorking closely with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams, you will help drive continuous improvement while ensuring our systems meet the highest operational and safety standards.\nWhat you will do\nProvide support for the maintenance and monitoring / testing of HV equipment switchgear transformers and RMU’s\nLead electrical and controls engineering projects from concept through implementation \nSupport the reliability, performance, and modernization of manufacturing equipment and production systems \nTroubleshoot complex electrical and controls-related issues across the facility \nCollaborate with OEMs, contractors, and system integrators on equipment upgrades and installations \nDevelop and maintain electrical schematics, control system documentation, and technical standards \nSupport PLC modifications and controls improvements when required. \nSupport with Robotics fault finding and improvements. \nParticipate in commissioning, validation, and startup activities for new equipment \nEnsure compliance with electrical, safety, and HSE standards \nProvide technical guidance and support to maintenance and engineering teams. \nUtilize company energy monitoring system to run reports and look for energy saving opportunities. \nWhat will help you succeed\nQualified to HND level or higher, strong experience in High Voltage (HV) systems, ideally holding Senior Authorised Person (SAP) status and AP15 certification. \nExperience in manufacturing automation or industrial engineering \nStrong hands-on expertise with PLCs (Siemens or Allen Bradley) \nKnowledge of robotics, motion systems, and industrial communications \nAbility to troubleshoot complex systems and drive solutions independently \nExperience managing technical projects from concept to completion \nStrong collaboration and communication skills \nWhy this role is exciting\nOwn and lead impactful automation projects \nWork with advanced technologies: robotics, vision systems, smart controls \nCombine leadership with hands-on engineering \nInfluence site-wide standards and innovation \nBe a key player in digital and industrial transformation \nWhat we offer\nCompetitive salary \nCareer growth in a global industrial leader \nContinuous learning and development opportunities \nCollaborative, high-performance engineering culture \nA meaningful role contributing to sustainable industrial solutions \nEnerSys is always looking to hire top talent.
