Through innovative technology and ongoing training, we invest in our employees’ skills and career development.\nAt EAS, we don’t just build batteries - we power systems and devices that protect not only individual citizens but communities across the world.\nIf you’re excited about working in an innovative, fast-paced, high-tech environment, where your contributions make a real impact, we’d love to hear from you!\nCompensation Range: $26.00 to $34.00 per hour\nLearn More About EAS\nJob Purpose\nThe Test Technician at Bren-Tronics, part of EnerSys and manufacturer of advanced power solutions, to test and troubleshoot defective electronic sub-assemblies, batteries, chargers, and accessories detected during manufacturing process.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nAbility to interpret blueprints and schematic, diagrams, enabling comprehensive analysis and troubleshooting to the component level document test results and inspection data, comparing findings with specifications to ensure product conformity to company standards.\nRepair or rework products/ components using electrical-mechanical assembly and soldering methods.\nCalculate, collect test data and results to verify results are adherent to functional specification.\nParticipate in prototype assembly and the New Product Team to grasp product requirements and assist troubleshooting and facilitate in product transition to production department.\nIdentify and explain issues related to product quality, efficiency, and effectiveness to other team members to finalize resolutions and participate in implementations.\nAssist to accomplish system level repair/rework tasks or assembly, including reliable SMT component or microchip replacement as needed.\nPerform tests on assembled batteries, chargers, power supplies, and related wiring boards using tools like testing meters, oscilloscopes, and calipers.\nPerform additional task as required.\nQualifications\nTechnical/ trade education or equivalent vocational training in manufacture industry\nMinimum of 3+ of technical experience or related experience in Test Technician or similar role.\nUnderstanding of circuit boards, microprocessors, chips, and computer hardware and software\nSolderer 454 certificate or surface mount soldering skills are a plus.\nUnderstanding of how to use testing equipment to troubleshoot and interpret test manuals, specifications, and related document.\nProblem solving skills, self-motivated with results driven approach.\nSoldering and electrical assembly, reflecting a level of craftsmanship and technical skill.\nMath skills and calculations and interpret results to aid testing process.\nGeneral Job Requirements\nAbility to operate production and office equipment.\nCritical, organizational, interpersonal skills and effective verbal and written communication.\nThe candidate must be able to work in a Production floor and collaborate with team members.\nVisual acuity to observe and analyze product parts, defects, and test results.\nMust be able to sit, stand, bend, reach, for extended periods of time and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.\nGeneral Job Requirements\nMust be able to stand for long periods of time\nMust be able to frequently bend;
