This includes developing code-compliant, constructible designs for HVAC, hydronic, thermal plant, and energy systems within defined project scopes. The PE I collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate designs with existing facilities, supports permitting and procurement efforts, and responds to field conditions. Responsibilities include preparing calculations, drawings, and specifications, maintaining design documentation, and contributing to systems that meet performance, reliability, and energy efficiency objectives consistent with ENFRA’s design-build delivery model.\nResponsibilities\nResponsible for signing and sealing engineering documents, as applicable.\nPerforms analysis, design, and evaluation of mechanical systems (HVAC, hydronic, energy systems, etc.).\nPrepares calculations, drawings, and specifications under established standards.\nAssists with the creations of detailed system configurations and control schemes with emphasis on long-term energy savings.\nConducts field investigations and supports site visits. Coordinates and plans 3D laser scanning effort.\nAssists in project execution, including coordination with internal teams.\nApplies engineering techniques within defined assignments.\nPerforms work under general supervision.\nHandles moderately complex issues; escalates more complex problems to senior staff.\nBegins developing client interaction skills in supported setting.\nQualifications\nRequired Education, Experience, and Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in architectural engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field\n5+ years of design experience\nProfessional Engineer (PE) License\nWorking knowledge of mechanical engineering systems and design principles\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and mathematical skills\nProficiency in engineering software and tools\nEffective verbal and written communication skills\nDetail-oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks\nPreferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications\nExperience in energy infrastructure, ESCO, or EaaS projects.\nTravel Requirements\n10-25% of time will be spent traveling to job sites.\nPhysical/Work Environment Requirements\nProlonged periods of office work sitting at a desk and working on a computer.\nAscending and descending stairs, ladders, ramps, and possibly scaffolding.\nOccasionally completed field survey in loud, peak/low temperatures, and/or elevated locations.\nRepeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.\nField survey, including traveling to job sites, to document existing conditions and observe construction progress.\nLight work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 20 pounds.\nPay Range\nUSD $101,610.00 - USD $152,662.00 /Yr.ENFRA is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer of Minorities, Women, Protected Veterans, and Individuals with Disabilities, and participates in the e-Verify program.
