At ENFRA, stability, innovation, and growth are more than just values-they are the pillars of our continued success.\nOverview\nPurpose and Essential Duties:\nThe Mechanical Professional Engineer III (PE III) serves as a senior technical leader responsible for the design, coordination, and delivery of complex mechanical systems for energy and infrastructure projects for hospital and college campuses. This role leads multidisciplinary design efforts, ensuring code-compliant, constructible solutions for HVAC, hydronic, and thermal plant systems. The PE III manages project execution for assigned scopes, mentors junior engineers, and resolves complex technical and field challenges. Responsibilities include overseeing design quality, supporting permitting and procurement, and ensuring systems meet performance, reliability, and energy efficiency objectives aligned with ENFRA’s design-build delivery model.\nResponsibilities\nSpecific responsibilities include:\nSpecific responsibilities may include:\nResponsible for signing and sealing engineering documents and overseeing technical quality\nLead the design and execution of complex large-scale projects such as mechanical systems, plumbing, and fire protection systems\nDevelop detailed system configurations and control schemes emphasizing energy efficiency and lifecycle performance for long-term energy savings\nEstablish engineering approaches, design standards, and best practices\nProvide technical oversight and quality reviews of work completed by junior staff\nManage discipline scope, budgets, schedules, and project deliverables\nOversee the planning for field investigations, site visits, and existing-condition documentation efforts. May review plans for 3D laser scanning effort\nLead coordination with clients, stakeholders, contractors, and external partners\nPerform work independently with broad authority\nResolve highly complex technical and project challengesMentor and develop junior engineers and designers\nSupport existing client relationships and business development efforts through proposals, technical input, and client engagement\nGenerate proposals to pursue new work with both existing and new clients\nLead a project interview team\nDevelop a detailed workplan for project specific tasks\nEngage with clients in unsupported situations\nQualifications\nRequired Education, Experience, and Qualifications:\nEducation & Licensure:\nBachelor’s degree in architectural engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field\n10+ years of design experience\nProfessional Engineer (PE) License\nQualifications:\nExpert knowledge of mechanical system design and applications\nStrong leadership, project management, and decision-making capabilities\nDemonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams\nAdvanced communication and client management skills\nPreferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications:\nMaster’s degree in engineering\nExperience managing large or program-level projects\nExperience in energy-as-a-service infrastructure delivery models\nTravel Requirements:\n10-25% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.\nPhysical/Work Environment Requirements:\nAscending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles.\nClimbing stairs\nMoving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.\nRepeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.\nOperating machinery and/or power tools.\nOutdoor elements such as precipitation, heat, cold, and/or wind.\nNoisy environment.\nLight to heavy work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects from 20-100 pounds.\nPay Range\nUSD $120,987.00 - USD $181,731.00 /Yr.ENFRA is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer of Minorities, Women, Protected Veterans, and Individuals with Disabilities, and participates in the e-Verify program.
