At ENFRA, stability, innovation, and growth are more than just values-they are the pillars of our continued success.\nOverview\nPurpose and Essential Duties The Technical Services Engineer (TSE) is a technical resource supporting Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) projects. The TSE provides technical expertise and direction in the development and successful implementation of energy conservation measures for retro-commissioning (RCx) activities. Projects typically involve complex, multi-building and multi-campus portfolios within higher education and healthcare environments, and are characterized by substantial mechanical infrastructure and advanced, integrated control strategies.\nThe role provides technical expertise across all phases of the commissioning (Cx) process and collaborates with the engineer of record to optimize system performance and develop practical solutions. Additionally, the TSE supports the training and mentorship of Technical Services (TS) staff. This role works in close collaboration with project managers, energy managers and team managers to ensure successful delivery of energy and operational performance outcomes.\nA TSE brings deep expertise in MEP design and the implementation of energy conservation measures, with a strong focus on building automation and energy management systems. They must uphold and promote the ENFRA brand by guaranteeing excellence in the execution of work and ensuring positive client experience, performing assigned duties with minimal supervision while working in a team problem-solving environment.\nThis role requires technical expertise in HVAC systems, building automation systems, and energy conservation strategies, with the ability to analyze complex system interactions and drive issue resolution across multidisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate demonstrates knowledge of the commissioning process, energy optimization methodologies, and industry standard best practices, while maintaining a strong focus on execution quality, documentation, and continuous improvement.\nResponsibilities\nSpecific responsibilities include:\nIndependently executes all technical design, pre-construction, and construction-phase engineering tasks\nLeads site surveys to determine existing facility conditions and requirements to complete the scope of work\nIntegrates all energy conservation strategies to ensure all systems have a comprehensive and unified approach to energy management\nCollaborates in project engineering to ensure alignment with best practices, company standards, and applicable codes\nAdvises the project team, in collaboration with the engineer of record, on the technical and resource requirements necessary to meet project outcomes\nTroubleshoots complex equipment and system installations and optimizes complex equipment and system upgrades\nIdentifies gaps in project execution and creates standards and processes to solve the issues\nDevelops new tools supporting project execution\nProvides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to other employees within the Technical Services organization\nDevelops training material for Technical Services teams and provides post-implementation operations training for staff\nQualifications\nRequired Education, Experience, and Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in engineering\n7+ years of experience in engineering design, energy management, or retro commissioning\nProfessional Engineering (PE) license\nPossesses expert technical knowledge of the subject matter\nProven leadership skills with the demonstrated ability to develop and mentor others\nAdvanced ability to problem solve, analyze complex systems, and manage competing project deadlines\nPreferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications:\nCommissioning Certification from ACG, BCxA, or ASHRAE\nCertified Energy Manager (CEM)\nProject experience in healthcare and higher education settings\nChilled Water, Heating Water, Steam, and Tower Water system project experience\nProject experience with hydronic system distribution, including centralized and multi-plant system configurations\nBuilding automation, controls, and systems integration project experience\nExperience with AutoCAD and REVIT software\nTravel Requirements:\n30%-40% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.\nPhysical/Work Environment Requirements:\nAssessing the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned\nAscending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles\nClimbing stairs\nRemaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods\nMoving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another\nRepeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers\nEnvironmental Conditions:\nOutdoor elements such as precipitation and wind\nNoisy environment\nQuiet environment\nPhysical Demands:\nMedium work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 50 pounds\nPay Range\nUSD $116,860.00 - USD $175,562.50 /Yr.ENFRA is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer of Minorities, Women, Protected Veterans, and Individuals with Disabilities, and participates in the e-Verify program.
